Base Cleric Class Notes
- Divine Order at 1st level
- Choose between Protector (martial weapon and heavy armor proficiency) and Thaumaturge (extra cantrip and adds WIS mod to INT [Arcana/Religion] ability checks)
 
 - Can swap out one cantrip at level up
 - Channel Divinity at 2nd level
- Turn Undead redesigned - undead are now Incapacitated and Frightened for 1 minute
 - New Divine Spark Channel Divinity option - can choose to either deal damage or heal
 
 - Sear Undead at 5th level
- Deal Radiant damage when using Turn Undead - no longer automatically destroys lower CR undead
 
 - Blessed Strikes at 7th level

Subclass Notes
- Life Domain
- Preeminent healer in the game
 - Domain spell list revised somewhat
 - Preserve Life now works on Undead and Constructs
 
 - Light Domain
- Revised domain spell list - wanted to bring in spells related to vision, wiping away falsehood, etc., while also preserving "Fire! Fire! Fire!"
 - Warding Flare at 3rd level
- No longer needs to wait until higher level to be used to aid an ally
 
 - Improved Warding Flare at 6th level
- Warding Flare grants temporary hit points when used
 - Regain all uses of Warding Flare on short or long rest
 
 - Corona of Light
- Imposes disadvantage on saving throws against Radiance of the Dawn option, in addition to spells that deal Fire or Radiant damage
 
 
 - Trickery Domain
- Blessing of the Trickster can now be used on self and lasts until end of next long rest
 - Invoke Duplicity can be used as a bonus action and no longer requires concentration
 - Can swap places with duplicate when summoning it
 - Improved Duplicity
- No multiple duplicates, but duplicate can assist allies (confer advantage) and can heal someone next to it when it disappears
 
 - Revised domain spell list
 
 - War Domain
- Guided Strike at 3rd level
- Can benefit other people from the start
 
 - War Priest at 3rd level
- Can make unarmed strike as bonus action, not just weapon attack
 - Regain uses on short or long rest

- Revised - can now burn Channel Divinity uses to cast Shield of Faith or Spiritual Weapon spells, and they do not require concentration when cast this way
 
 - Avatar of Battle
- Resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage no longer negated by magical weapons

General Notes
- Clerics in particular will feel benefits of the buffs to healing spells
 - Many healing effects now work on Undead and Constructs - old-school "damage undead with healing spell" effects now being explored as traits for specific monsters (mentions monsters made of shadow-stuff from Negative Energy Plane) rather than a blanket categorical weakness
 - Wish spell has been expanded with new built-in options that don't risk the spell's "monkey's paw" effects
