I'm currently in my computer class in college trying to use a SRD to build a cleric. How many spells would a 9th level cleric (with the Sovereign Host church, domains Communing and Healing) have? I will have the cleric posted.

Can I submit 2 characters? lol I love my scout, but I know the party needs some more healing. If you say no, then I will just submit the cleric.

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/cleric.htm

Spell Slots:

0 level: 6

1st level: 4 +1 domain only slot,

2nd level: 4 +1 domain only slot,

3rd level: 3 +1 domain only slot,

4th level: 2 +1 domain only slot,

5th level: 1 +1 domain only slot,

Plus you get bonus spell slots depending upon your wisdom http://www.d20srd.org/srd/theBasics.htm#abilityScores

Clerics can choose to prepare their spells from the entire cleric spell list and from their two domains.

Ty!

Can you only pick from one domain at a time? I mean one 1st level spell from one domain, then the 2nd level spell from the other?

Davan Rowe felt the divine power in him at an early age. His parents sent him to live with the Sovereign Host, which he was both grateful for and resented. He felt like his parents didn't want him at home. He could barely remember them. Maybe that was for the best, since he had been gone for almost 14 years, they were probably dead.

Davan learned how to harness his divine power and found that he was especially gifted at healing. He loved healing. He didn't know why, but he always found the healing spells the easiest to learn. He even spent his days in "school" collecting objects to assist in his healing powers.

Davan was reluctant to learn the skills in warfare. He did as he was told, and became quite good at it, but never like to practice his fighting skills. He always figured that it was pointless to fight, as he would just have to turn around and heal the people he beat.

Davan left the Church's schooling when he was 19, and travelled around the world until present day. He found that being a cleric got him untold respect from many of the people around the world. He did enjoy travelling and having people go out of their way to make him comfortable or the gifts he recieved for his "blessings." He rarely accepted more than a meal or a place to stay though, unless he used some of his divine powers.

Davan travelled all over the world, except for Xen'drik. He figured it was time for him to head there, so he gathered up his belongings and started to make his path that way. [/sblock]

So, s@squ@tch: Are we for sure going with level 8 PCs? If so, I'll update my PC. I just wanted confirmation before doing so.

@ POPE: Recruiting is open until November 9th, so feel free to post your concept, whatever it is

@ Voadam: Spell Compendium is fine -- I don't have it, but if you choose a spell from there and I don't know what it is, I may ask you for the specifics.

@ DEFCON1: I'd also consider Half-Orc as a race as well for your favored soul.

@ Rhun: Yes, level 8 on the PC's. I'm going with a bigger party (7 or 8) due to the large number of great concepts.

Here is my concept for the warforged wizard/master specialist/master transmorgifist. Morph, hated his kind, mostly because everybody did. As a warforged he was faced with daily discrimination, called "soulless" and "golem". He knew these terms weren't true, but they still made him mad. Tired of the discrimination and hate that he faced, he fled to the Mournland, for he had heard of a refuge for warforged. Upon arriving he discovered that the hate that these warforged had for the softer races was much more than the soft races felt for him and his kind. He left the Mournland and did the only thing he knew he could do. He returned to House Cannith in Sharn. There they heard of his troubles, and thinking to take advantage of a ripe opportunity, spoke of ancient creation forges in Xen'drik and the giant population there that threatened to invade. They planted in his head the idea, that these forges could possibly keep him in another form...permanantly. He could go about his life once changed, and be free of stigma and hate. Morph agreed to go, and the Cannith artificers outifitted greatly with magical equipment. Getting directions to House Medani, Morph walks into the front door, with what one would consider to be a smile.

Mechanically feats would be: Unarmored body(spell failure=bad!), Spell focus(transmutation), and Fiery burst(go boom...all night long!). Level nine feat when it comes will be the minor shapeshift feat from CM. Favored forms would be a phase spider, a silver dragon, and a seven head hydra.

I put Davan's cleric background next to his character sheet. Davan is lacking basic equipment but I keep thinking I'm forgetting to buy something important.

Is it okay that I submitted 2 characters? I'd like to be considered for either of them, but if you only want one, then please consider the cleric.
