Tails are great. They can add allot of extra emosion to a character's actions.
Damn. Now I feel inadequate without a tail... :(
[sblock=Cage Rattler]Yeah, István activated his gloves. That's what I was trying to imply when I said he was calling "upon the uncanny agility granted to him by his magical fencing gloves". Sorry if that wasn't clear. :heh:

BTW, I think it's awesome that István's first combat in Sigil is a stealthy running rooftop one. [/sblock]

Bah, tails are over-rated. Get in the way of everything, not to mention the fact that you have to ruin every brand new pair of pants just to accomodate yourself. :uhoh:

That's why Sindr just has one custom tailored fancy robe and prestidigitates it and himself clean every night just before bed :p

Heh, in this one game I played in the city gave my character a special gift after completion of an arc. Boots that set him upright whenever he fell more than a certain distance and also magically cleaned him and repelled dirt and grime. Very handy, considering how rarely he bathed. Yeah, he was a fighter.

What exactly do they get in the way of, besides... Well I can only think of one thing and it isn't even slightly appealing. :uhoh:

Heh... Tails... I was about to make an off-color joke about them and character's actions, but we aren't playing that kind of game. ;)

Anyways, I was thinking about what Pierce would do for a nighttime routine and it occured to me that I'm not quite sure how spikers sleep. I mean, do they sleep on a bed of nails or something? They sure can't sleep on anything soft. Mattresses or even wood would be out, because they'd destroy them. Sleeping in or at least on her armor seems more logical.

You know real tails don't just drag along on the ground, right? I was thinking of a rat like tail that is semi prehensile, and used for balance. It could also flick like a cat's and wrap around things for security.

Oh yes indeed, I know, I have a cat myself. I've just seen too much Anime that I shouldn't have seen.

In the Dawnforge campaign setting, the tiefling race can use some racial transformation to get themselves a nice prehensile tail, and even gain an extra ring slot. A fun and nice perk... though I guess not applicable here. ;)
