4e Battle of Good vs. Evil: Ice Archon & Co. vs. Eye Of Flame & Co.

OOC: Is Yoko or Richard the new leader? Give Yoko an extra AP, she's an elite. Richard should no longer have an AP. Turning invisible is a standard action, so no sneak attack damage on Wile. Yoko can use invisibility later on and does not have to spend an action to sustain it. Any forced movement, including pushes and pulls, does not provoke OA's.

Good Guys:
Corrinna (halfling paladin): 27/62hp, bloodied, slow, +2 defenses
Dustin (hook horror, leader, SW): 150/150hp, full
Wile (wyvern, SW): -9/105hp, unconscious, slow
Ghengis (dwarf warlord, SW, AP) 83/83hp, full

Round 75: (Good guys reset SW on round 76) (J'klict resets SW & AP on round 77)

Corrinna does not recharge ( :2: ). She takes a second wind and moves to 45N65E.

Dustin charges to 60N55E and :bmelee: claws at Yoko. 5+21+1, hit. 12 damage and followup, 10+19+1 vs. Fort, Yoko is pulled to 70N55E and grabbed.

Wile is not dying yet (12).

Ghengis Kahn the dwarven warlord appears at 65N80E and :melee: attacks Richard with a drive into peril, using his +3 battleaxe. 15+17, hit. Richard takes 10 damage and is pushed to 65N65E, giving Dustin an opportunity to :bmelee: claw him (due to the ability, not the forced movement). 19+21, hit for another 17 damage.

OOC: Sorry for the delay. :)

OOC: Are you ruling that Corinna has cover? I'd assume so, otherwise she should've shifted or Richard would've had an OA.

OOC: I modified my grid so forgot to look at it, but did Dustin charge through a threatened area of Richard's?

Bad Guys:
J'klict (drow wand mage, SW): 43/45hp, injured
Yoko Oni (oni, SW): 56/68hp, injured, insubstantial (gaseous form)
Richard Moll (champion of baphomet, leader, SW): 78/105hp, injured

J'klict recharges ( :6: ). He shoots an icy ray at Ghengis, 18+13 vs Ref for 21 cold damage and slowed 1 round.

Yoko Oni fails to recharge the freezing blast ( :5: ). She attempts to break out of the grab, 17+10 vs. Fort, success! She blasts a lightning bolt through Dustin and Corinna.

Dustin: 6+12 vs. Ref, fails.
Corinna: 13+12 vs. Ref, 20 lightning damage.

Yoko uses her second action point to become insubstantial, gaseous form.

Richard Moll swings a maze hammer on Dustin, 9+17 fails.

OOC: No apologies necessary. :)

Large creatures do not threaten in 4e (other than adjacent squares) unless they have an ability called threatening reach. None of the good guys were adjacent to Richard when they moved.

Good Guys:
Corrinna (halfling paladin, SW): 7/62hp, bloodied
Dustin (hook horror, leader, SW): 150/150hp, full
Wile (wyvern, SW): -9/105hp, unconscious
Ghengis (dwarf warlord, SW, AP) 62/83hp, injured, slow

Round 76: (Good guys reset SW) (J'klict resets SW & AP on round 77)

Corrinna does not recharge ( :4: ). She moves to 65N45E and tries to revive Wile. 13+5, she stabilizes Wile, but does not trigger a SW.

Dustin :bmelee: claws at Richard. 6+21, hit. 17 damage and followup, 6+19 vs. Fort, Richard is grabbed.

Wile lies unconscious.

Ghengis does not recharge ( :4: ). He moves to 65N75E and :bmelee: hacks at Richard, 11+17+2, hit. Richard takes 10 damage.

OOC: Large+Threaten, oops, you've already told me that and I keep forgetting. :)

Bad Guys:
J'klict (drow wand mage, SW): 43/45hp, injured
Yoko Oni (oni, SW): 56/68hp, injured, insubstantial (gaseous form)
Richard Moll (champion of baphomet, leader, SW): 51/105hp, bloodied, grabbed

J'klict recharges the icy ray ( :4: ). He moves to 95n75e and shoots an icy ray at Corinna, 11+13 vs Ref for 23 cold damage and slowed 1 round. No more healing for Corinna as she becomes unconscious.

Yoko Oni fails to recharge anything ( :1: ). She chooses not to sustain insubstantial, turns invisible, and flies to 65n25e.

Richard Moll fails to escape the grab, 3+12 and swings his maze hammer at Dustin, 18+17 hit for near max 15 damage and ongoing 5 wound and the bewildering bash fails: 2+17 vs. Will.

Good Guys:
Vin (feygrove choker, SW): 91/91hp, full
Corrinna (halfling paladin, SW): -16/62hp, dying (1), slow
Dustin (hook horror, leader, SW): 130/150hp, injured, bleeding
Wile (wyvern, SW): -9/105hp, unconscious
Ghengis (dwarf warlord, SW, AP) 62/83hp, injured

Round 77: (J'klict resets SW & AP)

Vin Diesel the feygrove choker appears at 80N85E (medium). He shoots a tentacle out at J'klict, 20+17, crit! 16 damage and J'klict is grabbed. Vin uses his AP and shoots a tentacle at Richard, 14+17+2, hit for 11 damage and Richard is grabbed again.

Corrinna does not recharge ( :4: ). She starts dying (9).

Dustin feasts on Richard. 7+21+2+4, hit. 23 damage. Dustin continues bleeding (5).

Wile lies unconscious.

Ghengis does not recharge ( :4: ). He :bmelee: hacks at Richard, 11+17+2, hit. Richard takes 10 damage (identical rolls as last round). Ghengis shifts to 60N70E.

OOC: Note that creatures with reach do not provide flanking because they do not threaten outside their turn. So, for example, neither Ghengis nor Dustin currently have CA on Richard. Also, the drow doesn't provoke for the same reason.

Bad Guys:
J'klict (drow wand mage): 38/45hp, injured, grabbed (Vin), +2 to defenses
Richard Moll (champion of baphomet, leader, SW): 7/105hp, bloodied, grabbed (Vin?)
Yoko Oni (oni, SW): 56/68hp, injured

J'klict fails to recharge the icy ray ( :1: ). He takes a second wind, gaining 11hp and +2 on defenses. He attempts to escape the grab, 3+7-4 fails. He uses up an AP to wand blast Vin Diesel, crit right back at ya! No kidding, honest! Take 16, Vin.

Yoko Oni waits on Richard.

Richard Moll escapes the grab vs. Dustin (or both?), 20+12. He swings his maze hammer at Dustin, 6+17 miss. If the escape works against all grabs simultaneously (like recharges and everything else tends to do), then he shifts north one square.

Yoko Oni recharges everything ( :6: ). She blasts a line of lightning from 65n35e to 60n70e. That hits Wile, Corinna, Dustin, and Ghengis. I don't think it hits Richard, but correct me if I'm wrong (she'll still take the attack regardless of the ruling, and this is why she delayed). She is invisible as she attacks and so gets CA against everyone. I'm not applied the sneak attack on this since that ability is not listed under powers; is that right? If it should be applied, everyone affected gets another 6 damage.

Wile: 10+12+2+4 vs. Ref, 20 lightning damage
Corinna: 3+12+2+4 vs. Ref (tried to miss), 20 lightning damage
Dustin: 16+12+2 vs. Ref, 20 lightning damage
Ghengis: 17+12-2+2 (cover) vs. Ref, 20 lightning damage
Richard (if applicable): 15+12-2+2 (cover) vs. Ref, 20 lightning damage

What stupendous rolling!

OOC: Dustin and Ghengis have CA on Richard because he is immobilized and they are adjacent to him. I should not have given Vin +2 to hit last round because he is not adjacent to Richard.

Richard doesn't have to use another move action to escape, but he needs to roll twice because he is 'attacking' two different defenses, just like area attacks require multiple rolls. I'll use the 2 rolled for ferocity, which means Vin is still holding Richard. Richard can reroll for ferocity if it applies. Richard also needs to recharge his bewildering bash.

I think sneak attack damage only adds to weapon damage. Richard is not hit.

As a reaction to Yoko's lightning, Ghengis will trigger Dustin's healing surge. He gets the hp, but not the +2 on defenses.

Good Guys:
Vin (feygrove choker, SW): 75/91hp, injured
Dustin (hook horror, leader): 142/150hp, injured, bleeding
Wile (wyvern, SW): -29/105hp, unconscious
Ghengis (dwarf warlord, SW) 42/83hp, injured

Round 78:

Vin Diesel will choke both victims as a standard action.
J'klict: 1+17 vs Fort+2, hit! 17 damage.
Richard: 17+17 vs. Fort, hit. 12 damage. Richard can reroll ferocity, but Vin keeps holding him with his tentacle.

Dustin moves to 55N35E and attacks Yoko, 4+21, miss. Dustin continues bleeding (6).

Wile doesn't die (18).

Ghengis does not recharge ( :2: ). He moves to 65N45E and tries to revive Wile. Fails miserably, 5+6. He takes an AP and tries again, identical result 5+6. Less than stupendous rolls from me!

OOC1: Ah, immobolization does grant CA. It's listed under grapple and not the condition summary. I hope they write it better in the rulebooks.

OOC2: Richard's bewildering bash recharged ( :4: ).

OOC3: Richards' ferocity: 5+17 misses.

OOC4: Can I make Yoko the leader or does it have to be the new person? If I can, then Yoko becomes the new leader (feel free to edit this post).

Bad Guys:
J'klict (drow wand mage): 21/45hp, injured, grabbed (Vin)
Richard Moll (champion of baphomet, ex-leader, SW): -5/105hp, dying (1), grabbed (Vin)
Yoko Oni (oni, SW): 56/68hp, injured
Jeremy Irons (ettin jack-of-irons, leader, AP, AP, SW): 119/119hp, full

J'klict fails to recharge the icy ray ( :3: ). He attempts to escape the grab, 6+7-4 fails. He blasts Vin Diesel, 2+13, fails!

Richard Moll starts dying (9).

Yoko Oni fails to recharge ( :2: ). Scared to see Wile wake up, she smacks him 21+7 and the dreaded wyvern is teleported out. She shifts south to 60n25e.

Jeremy Irons the ettin jack-of-irons and new leader appears at 40n45e and smacks Dustin with his club twice, 12+15+2 misses and 8+15+2 misses. AC 30 is hard to hit. Jeremy uses an AP to try yet again, crit! 17 damage to Hook-boy. Jeremy is in the zone, Dustin is not.

OOC: Leave Jeremy as the leader. Why? Cos them's the rules! :)

Good Guys:
Vin (feygrove choker, SW): 75/91hp, injured
Dustin (hook horror, leader): 120/150hp, injured
Ghengis (dwarf warlord, SW) 42/83hp, injured

Round 79:

Vin will choke both victims as a standard action.
J'klict: 2+17 vs Fort, hit. 13 damage.
Richard: auto crit, 20 damage. Vin keeps holding him with his tentacle.

Dustin shifts to 55N40E and attacks Yoko, 3+21, miss. Dustin stops bleeding (20).

Ghengis does not recharge ( :4: ). He stows his axe, pulls out his crossbow, and fires at J'klict. 15+15, hit. Min 4 damage.
