4e: Character Personality Development Blog and Poll

Neuroglyph

First Post
I completed a blog today regarding Dynamic Character Development in D&D, exploring how we develop the personalities for our Characters.

I'd appreciate it if folks could give it a read, and check out the poll I have about their own experiences with Character Personality Development.

Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

Even though I'm mainly DM, I just did the survey - what kind of study is it for?

I like what you said about tapping into the shadow self for character inspiration, heck that's probably why I like DMing so much getting to play all these villains.

My current favorite villain (alas, soon to die friday) is a tax collector based off of the Sheriff of Nottingham as played by british comedian/actor Keith Allen. My favorite line so far was when the PC rogue was spying on him talking with a disgraced noble turned thief: "Well, let's see if we can put those newfound thieving skills of yours to honest work with the tax office!"
