4e: Player seeking GM

Hi, new to the boards, not to pbp. However, I've been GMing non-stop for some time now, pbp and RL. My GMing has been flagging recently, and I really need to just... play.

I want to play a wizard. Either human or Genasi; the Genasi would have the intention of becoming an Elemental Tempest, with emphasis on variable abilities rather than just min/maxing. Another option, actually, I would love to try a Dragonborn, or a Warlord (who gives mighty orders, etc).

I'm into role as well as roll for my GMing, but I'm looking to get a group of great players together here, and a fun GM. Maybe a sandbox style, I dunno. Generic setting wouldn't be too bad, actually. I'm easy-going, though I would like to have a lot of fun.

I don't care what level. I virtually never get to do high level games; 3.5 was slow for me, and most GMs want to start at 1 (ditto playing a fighter or brute warrior; virtually never a wizard).

Not that it matters (and good low-level is great) but I have no experience otherwise. If I GM without ever having played high level... well, I could seriously screw everything up. Likewise, I've never as a player fought a dragon. Not once. almost 20 years of D&D and I've only ever run them, or rp'd with a high-level one (and a massive red hatchling that got me in one round, back in 2e; mean GM).

Something weird would also be good: Spelljammer using 4e rules, for example. Or just epic PoL, I dunno. I'm happy just playing with a fun group.

Anyone interested?

Free Advice, so you know what it's worth:

If you want to play a Warlord, you'll have much more luck with L4W (as suggested by renau1g, your friendly neighborhood Black Dragon) than you will with a solo game. A Warlord alone is like a fighter, but not quite as good.

FireInTheDust,

If you haven't already found a game that you are comfortable with, I may have space in my 4e eberron PBEM game. It is "full" but I'm open to considering additional characters, at the very least you can certainly claim a spot in the waiting list, since players do drop out from time to time... See Eberron Campaign ‎(BetaPyxis4eEberronPBEM)‎ for info and drop me an email at betapyxis over at gmail if you are interested.

If you have found a game, or you find a GM who is looking for players, I've got an itch to sit on the players side of the GM screen. My only requirement is a not-to-fast posting pace (1-2 times a week, I just know there is no way I could do more without sacrificing the quality of the game I am running.)

Best wishes,
Orrin/BetaPyxis
