With the new "everybody has discrete chunk of tactic" philosophy, I'd been thinking they'd allocated too few pages.

Good to see that they agree.

I imagine it's being added to make room for more racial/class talents that they already were going to put in. Because that's going to *eat up* page count, I imagine.

Hopefully that's just a mistake on Amazon's part; they make a tremendous number of them. I very much liked the idea of a slimmer volume.

I, on the other hand, would appreciate a bigger book... however it is quite possible that it's a mistake from Amazon.

It would make sense for them to make a larger PHB 1, it should contain more rules content than subsequent PHB's.

Does it? I would think that people new to rpg's would be very hesitant to try a game with a rulebook that size. I know that's what keeps me from even looking at HERO with that phonebook sized rulebook it has.
