[4e] The Dustbowl (QA) [Recruitment - OPEN(1)] (OOC)

Good news

and

Bad news

First the bad news, Rashka is going to be meeting with an untimely end.

Then the good news, I'm going to lend a hand as a DM over in L4W.

Sorry to piddle out like that, I've really enjoyed the game, and look forward to playing with you all again!

There is obviously a good amount of interest, so finding a replacement leader shouldn't be too difficult. I'll stick around and play until the replacement is found, and to keep some continuity to the story line.

When we find a replacement, or my game starts, I'll bow out.

Well damn.

And congrats to being a DM :)

Since Darwin also posted some interest, I will message him and see if he is still interested. If not, I will open recruitement up again and see if anyone else would like to join in :)

Both Shayuri and yzard will be coming in to take Cheub and CaBaNa's place. yzard should have his character up sometime tomorrow.

Once the characters are posted, I will continue the adventure. Legildur, your early actions will actually lead into a perfect sedgeway of DM bending the rules a bit.

Eblue...sorry about the delay there, been reading and getting up to speed. Working on background a bit. Now, I'm inferring from the situation the other PC's are in that my character will start off in possession of one of the pieces. Presumably then he came to this place for the same reason the others in the party did...just at a different time, and perhaps under different circumstances.

Do you want me to work the other new player into my background? Also, are the existing PC's there first, and we'll be encountering them...or were WE there first, and the other PC's will be encountering us?

I originally had an idea as to how to introduce just you, but with yzard also entering the action, I have to think about how to do it. If you (or yzard) would like, you two can either be adventuring together, or I can introduce both of you separately. It is sort of up to you guys. You can certainly use this thread to talk back and forth between you two, and I can interject comments/answer questions if necessary.

Either way, however, I wouldn't worry too much about how to introduce yourselves to the party, I will probably do the introduction scene (just for ease of transition, unless anyone is severely objected to it). Let me know.

Ease of transition works for me...

I plan on getting some more background in as we go...gonna try to let it grow :)

Bharhash is a warrior through and through...leader of his local Town Guard for years, he is at his best when he is encouraging his allies to victory through word and deed.

A warlord, eh? Hmm!

What kind of character is he, Yzard?

I've got this deva wizard, an eccentric, ecclectic fellow...loves exploring and discovering new things. He's reincarnated a lot, so he doesn't even use names anymore...he's tired of trying to remember them.

I'm thinking our characters could have met as they asked around about these pieces of doohickey they have (however they got them). Each of them plying their own sources led to the same place, and they decided to head out together.

Whaddya think about that?
