4e - Thunderspire Labyrinth - OOC

@ Graf: Understood, don't know how I forgot about you. That is the beauty of 4E though. So many choices makes things hard to pick. If things don't work(and this game lasts long enough), I can retrain it out for something else.

Well, I don't usually log in to often on the weekends, I just don't have the time with twin infants it can be busy :cool:

Not sure what to do about Invisible Castle being down...I'll think of something ;)

As for the IC thread I'll set it up shortly, but I just wanted to verify that you're all travelling together as a previously known adventuring group?

Also, which of the following reasons have you for travelling to the Thunderpeaks?

1) Investigate the Bloodreavers (major) - a gang of goblinoid slavers
2) Slave Rescue (major) - Rescue slaves from the Nentir Vale
3) Trade Mission (minor) - Guard a trader to the Seven-Pillared Hall in the mountain
4) A Call to Adventure (minor) - Travel to the ruins in the Thunderspire and recover an item for a mage

Or any other reason?
 

Twin infants is a fair enough reason. By all means, family ahead of us hooligans ;)

Yes, I believe that we are already traveling together as a previously established adventuring group. As for our motivation ... any of those would work fine to motivate Sargil - anything that can give him a legitimate reason to fight :] Investigating the Bloodreavers would probably interest him the most - getting some revenge on the goblins for his father - but any of them work just fine for me. So, if anyone else sees one that they just have to do, lead the way!

Well if you go for the Bloodreavers hook, you can either have just saved the town of Winterhaven from certain doom at the hands of Kalarel and in his personel effects you've located a note thanking the Bloodreavers for their assistance in acquiring the slaves for him. Enquiries into the group could lead you to the Thunderpeaks?
 

An idea that's been flopping around in my head today to use the Bloodreavers and Call to Adventure (for Graf ;)): We know of the Bloodreavers and want to find out about them, but don't know where to go. In the meantime, Mr. Mage hires us to go to the Thunderpeaks in search of the item he wants. Then we could find out more about the Bloodreavers on our way, or as we're preparing, or once we get there ...

I dunno, just an idea. Renau's the DM, I'm not trying to dictate the story or anything, just an idea on how to incorporate the two. Opinions?
 

I like it. I seen Yanwer as being less experienced... maybe you pick him up because he lives near the mage and or was "guided to the mage/party by strange visions"
 

The Bloodreavers hook works for me, especially considering Patresh would be all for going to rescue any other slaves the vile scum might still be holding.
