4e - Thunderspire Labyrinth - OOC

Both ways could work for me. Vio could be nearing the end of his current studies on the book of the blood mage. He is desperate for more secrets in his chosen craft. The name "bloodweavers" could have been mentioned in the text he currenly studies, or perhaps the mage that hired them(a call to adventure), knows of some secrets or where to find them, if they bring an item to him(or her). Of course his faithful, if lazy bodyguard accompanies him, as well as the young warlock(perhaps rescued from a plague of zombies, or misshapen abberations?)

That had occurred to me as well - that perhaps the item (one of the items?) the mage wants us to find is a book of blood-mage-type lore ... which, of course, Vio would want for his own uses.

In any case, we sort of need to decide what our story is ...

Edit: P.S. Man, the boards are like lightning right now! But I need sleep and have no reason to stay, haha.

DEFCON, I noticed that Saph should have 7 healing surges instead of 6. I just got reminded for another character that rogue's base healing surges is 6, not 5.

Well, I'm going to put up an IC thread shortly. Unless I receive an objection, you'll start in the town of Winterhaven, having just completed another service for the town and impressing the mage. You also found in the personnel effects of the BBEG a note relating to slavers called the Bloodreavers. You have found out that individuals from around the Nentir Vale have gone missing and the authorities haven't been able to locate any clues.

That's fine with me. Sargil's pretty flexible, as long as he has a legitimate reason to fight something (especially goblins), that's where he'll go. Just let me know when we start :D

Question Re:the Perception sblock - Do we have to roll for that? Or is that a passive perception thing? I'm thinking it's a rolled one, since a passive perception DC 10 is an auto-notice at this level. Sorry, I'm a little unfamiliar with PbP conventions.

You know what... I'm not sure, as I don't think you can roll lower than you're passive right? If you can then yes roll. With the low DC I'm not going to ask to post your results IC, but when there are combat rolls I'll require you to post the link to Invisible castle (which is thankfully back!)

According to the DDI Compendium you only make perception rolls when you're actively looking for something, though maybe that means the DM rolls for you the rest of the time. Right now I don't think it matters, with that DC most of us probably hear it anyway and fill in those who don't.
