In a hole, covered with dirt.
More dirt.
The depth of the hole. It's not deep enough. It's never deep enough.

Why would you bother writting this?
you don't want to see a new edition right?

so what would you gain from posting that in this thread?

Changes:

1) No multiclassing restrictions based solely upon class. (That is, classes like Monk and Paladin could multiclass freely, as long as the combos don't violate the alignment restrictions of the respective classes.)

2) Feats that improve with level. Many things that are currently feats would be higher level abilities of feats.

Example: Cleave, Great Cleave, and Improved Sunder would be higher level functions of Power Attack.

PCs get the same number of feats, so this change gives effectively more feats per PC.

3) Only 2 weapon types- Natural and Manufactured. This would get rid of a lot of confusion and doubletalk about Unarmed Strikes.

4) No more Deathless! Deathless are just good-aligned undead.

5) Monks get moved to Oriental Adventures. They also get more variety in combat options to reflect RW martial arts, especially with regards to weapon selection. This would involve replacing "Combat Styles" (from rangers) & Improved Unarmed Combat with something more detailed and open to more PCs.

6) More flexibility within the classes. Like the rogue, more classes would have options to choose from at as they progress, rather than set abilities.

no

but is asking that question trolling?
It is when the secret answer (as announced with "bingo") is "it's product X" instead.

It was a simple agreement, how or why would you see at as anything other?
Because the question was disingenuous. You don't want a discussion of 4E, you want people to say they're going to scrap D&D for C&C or True20.

It's a troll and a passive-aggressive attempt to defend it doesn't make it any less so.

Only in your mind, needless to state but you don't seem to be in anyway psychic,

my agreement was in him being proactive, not waiting for some one else to wrte it, but him sorting it out himself, and making a better game

so you can see, you are completely wrong

disingenuous?, how dare you make assumptions has to how I think, and why I reply to a post,

if anyone here is "disingenuous" and it is you who is trolling,

If you can't be anything but negative, then please feel free to refrain from posting in this thread

Because I both enjoy a good chuckle and have seen far too many 4e speculation threads already. I'm crotchety and such. Just think of me as either Statler or Waldorf - your pick.

It's not so much that I'm rabidly set against the possibility of a new edition (I mean Candy Girl wasn't bad), frankly I don't care all that much. What does make my teeth grit, my nostrils flare, and my eyes roll slightly up and to the left are the constant flow of 'hot diggidy - Fourth!' threads.

But! In no way is my irk your fault. It's not like I'm annoyed with you. Just the subject matter. And in any case, you asked for opinions, and I provided mine. Hole. Unmarked. Filled with dirt. Possibly next to Jimmy Hoffa. :p

Well first off i am not sick of a 4e threads. Its gonna happen sooner or later so why not speculate? Its better then the standard half dozen "player X's palidan ate a baby, is that evil"? threads. Or the ever popular, "player X who isnt here to defend himself is a complete turd according to my one side of the story, what do i do about it?" and its bastard half brother about the DM whose a turd.

On to what i would like to see. Damage saves like in true 20. Feats that grow with your character like iron heroes. Magic thats anything other then spell slots per day.

And my top 3.

3# no more prestige classes.... ever, in any way shape or form.

2# A XP system with better defined rewards for meeting challenges other than killing something. Preferably something where achieving a goal is worth more then the beasties you killed along the way.

1# Fewer and more open ended classes. Like by compiling the lists of class features and letting players pick some of thier features and only have 3 base classes, like warrior, skill monkey, and magic user. Then instead of having 50 different classes to fit every niche you can just build the class you want all from one book.
