Round 3

Shamal runs forward to join the combat, watching as Merrick leaps onto the cart. But as Shamal is hustling quickly to join him, he sees that there is another of the bandits that was farther from the group and might make an escape. Thinking quickly, and remembering how he long practiced his quick tumbles down the sand dunes and jebels of the Empty Quarter, Shamal lithely slides down an embankment to stop the bandit from escaping.

OOC:
Dash (60')
Moves to AD17
Tumble: 1D20+2 = [16]+2 = 18

Ends at AG21

Lorent vinces as the orc attacks his companions
"Saph! Get out of there!"
He rushes forward to get back in range thinking about crashing down into melee. But he would get soiled and his clothes would be damaged. He decides to run around the bend after all, not a big difference.

Move: K37, going around the bend (H38-> I39->J39->K38->K37)
Action: Saphirrion disengage
Saphirrion move: top of the tree Q26, take cover

Team Ambush. Urgan.

Urgan comtonues to make his way towards the fracas, sliding down the cliff edge carefully.

[Move and Dash' successful atheletics rolls already made -- I am content for him to end up at R 27 or O 22, both of which are within 60'; is that right?]

Team Ambush, Copper.

"Yeah, there aren't many good shots left here." Copper agrees with Corrah, as the goliath climbs nimbly and swiftly down the tree and cliff to a vantage point just above the wagon. After coming to a stop, the rogue sticks an arrow into the distracted dwarf below, with grin to match his sense of smug satisfaction.

OOC: Using climb speed to get out of trees and down cliffs is fun! Also using bonus action dash for double movement, moving to U-17.
Attacking the dwarf!
sneak attack from above: 1D20+5 = [14]+5 = 19
3D6+3 = [2, 3, 3]+3 = 11

Copper also has vex against the target, but at the rate we are going, I doubt that's gonna come up :)

TEAM LAKE - Bjorn
Bjorn saw the other kayak rapidly approaching just as Bill pointed with his nose to a small whirlpool he could use to their advantage. He quickly flipped his paddle to the opposite side of the oncoming boat and plunged it into the whirlpool, jerking the boat sharply away from the oncoming craft.

"Phew. Thanks fella," Bjorn mutter through the spray. However, he saw they were now within a narrow straight of the river where the current was swift - dangerously so.

OOC: Bjorn pushed away from the other boat and guided it straight into the Swift Current (V15). Hoping @VLAD the Destroyer makes the movement check to get us out of it.
Bill's Perception Check: 1D20+3 = [17]+3 = 20
Acrobatics check with advantage: 2D20.HIGH(1)+2 = [17, 19]+2 = 21
Coyote Code running hot tonight.

Team Ambush

Much of the group maneuvered, dashing their way toward the foe below them.

Shamal slid down a steep slope, looking to reach the driver, who glanced back, sending two bolts of force at the paladin, who the Djinn blessed this day: The bolts flew short, sending up a small shower of road gravel. Seeing that Shamal was unharmed and pursuing, the driver waved his hand and his flying dragon-claw dove off the cliff and scratched at Shamal, a shallow but painful wound.

Copper, having also slid down a hill out of his shelter in the trees, came out beside Torhak, and looked over the cliff to where Merrick was fighting with the mercenary dwarf. The goliath fired an arrow, and struck the dwarf from above, who stumbled, bloodied, and cussed.

The cultist crouched behind the wagon popped up just long enough to send a bolt of flame at Copper, but the goliath ducked it and it whooshed overhead.

OOC: Driver missed Shamal with 2 blasts, but got him with the spiritual weapon for 5. Cultist missed Copper with a firebolt. Just @MetaVoid Torhak to go (and Corrah & OrcMerc) to roll the round! Let's get it done!

Team Lake

Shade-9 had detected the likely impact of the two watercraft with no time to flip his paddle to the correct side to ward it off. He held out an arm to attempt the task manual - an act that he later calculated would have resulted in great harm to the limb, had Aywin not deftly maneuvered their craft so close to the shallow rocks that there was a grinding sound, but miraculously no harm was done to their underside, and they shot forward in the current, following Loklafd.

For their part, Bjorn steered their boat away from the collision, but as soon as they were around some smaller rock obstacles, they reached the swiftest part of the current. The two kayak parted quickly, and safely, but Bjorn and Darius were forced to deal with the current, come what may.

Loklafd, having only just freed himself from the shallows, and still bleeding from his arm, was looking steady and confident as he rounded another outcropping of sharp rocks, but then suddenly he was beset by another surge of water that rolled his kayak over. The big northman disappeared under the water, and with his kayak bottom-up, the others could see how badly his craft had been damaged, its seal-skin hull was terribly tattered.

OOC: Another round of bad rolls for Loklafd. I wouldn't count him out, yet, but he's not doing great.

I moved Aywin and Shade-9 to where Loklafd had been, a relatively "safe" spot. I recommend "dashing" next round right through the fast current. Theoretically, if you can put yourself at AI10/AH11 you'd be "safe". Of course, you'd have to make two movement successes.

Now, the other boat, @VLAD the Destroyer Darius still has to go for the round, and I think @Lidgar Bjorn still has an action. If all three checks are successful (dc12, remember), then you could safely get to X13Y14. Otherwise, I hope one of the two can take care of the H4 and you can rest at T14U15. Otherwise... you could have Loklafd's trouble! No pressure!
