Team Lake

Muragh the Usurper looked from Aywin to Loklafd's glowing sword - metallurgy itself was beyond his people's usual capabilities, and what metal he possessed had been traded, found, or stollen. Though his own Trident glowed magically as well, it had been a prize, and he did not understand its magic any more than he understood its metal. He wasn't terribly smart, but he recognized that Bjorn was not a true frog, but a shapeshifter, and that meant primal magic of unknown capability. And Darius was a mystery, and Muragh didn't like not knowing.

The brazen confidence that the group showed by barging forward worried him. Ultimately, Muragh was a bully, and like most bullies, he did not expect to be stood up to. In addition, his loyalty to the Cultists, with whom he had a nominal alliance, was non-existent. He'd already gotten most of what he expected to get out of it. Further, he felt that something was happening under Blackpeak - the tremors and such - that made staying in the Pit of Teeth less desirable than it had once been.

Lastly, he felt little love for his "people", many of whom didn't like his leadership and were causing him no end of headaches. With this in his mind, he grunted at Aywin and said, "Ffine. Ay whill leafve."

He called to the two guards at the tunnel entrance, while the groups of lizardfolk in the north erupted into incredulous chatter, and he dove into the pool, with his "bodyguards" following. Somewhere deep below, there were watery tunnels that exited the mountain, and he did not return.

OOC: That was unexpected, but my wife rolled some interesting checks for both the PCs Insight (why I gave you so much 'insider' information), Intimidation, and then poorly for Muragh's bravery. I often like to let the dice decide what happens.

Team Lake - Aywin

OOC: Horray, charisma wins! And Aywin didn't need to try seducing the lizardfolk ;-)

Aywin remains serene and respectfully quiet as the usurper leaves. After he is relatively comfortable that he is gone, he turns to Guldred with a smile "It seems you now have the blessing and the curse of your clan's leadership my friend. I am certain you have much on your plate now, but we would very much appreciate being guided to the cultists"
