D&D 5E 5e Boxed Sets, what should WotC make?

Rolling with advantage? Roll twice and take the highest roll, disadvantage roll 2x and take the lowest roll. 4D6? Roll the die 4x. For many, many people those dice in the starter set are their first set and saying you "can't" just because... you won't, well that's ableism. Maybe the person who bought it is a 12 year old kid who bought that starter set with their chore money and do not have enough to also buy a set of dice at the same time? That's who these things are targeted towards, people who have never played and want to try it out. Just because you can buy those things doesn't mean they can and they want those people to crack open that box and start playing right then and there. These aren't for you.
I think in this case, he's specifically talking about 7 dice in the box. On that, I sort of agree. I think 2d20 is a good idea. 4d6? Eh, not so much. People generally have plenty of sources of D6's from monopoly or half a dozen other games they can simply scrounge. But the extra D6's are great for rolling fireballs, two-handed sword damage and such.

And the percentile die isn't needed either, just a nice add-in. People are smart enough they can get by with 1d10 if they need to - my 10-year-old self did.

If they have some nice art on them, I'd buy them. Can I get one for Eberron? It's like the only campaign setting on my setting shelf that DOESN'T have a box, and it sticks out like a sore thumb.
Oh, well I was thinking the moving boxes in my garage. Rumor has it they will be empty and looking for homes in the next few weeks!
