(update - was gonna start strictly alphabetical but the first one then would be Adonides...which is a big one. thought I'd start on some simple ones first)

ok so the other thing is the language has changed to become more concise. There are also changes in some statblocks e.g. poison saves - see Giant Spider

2024

vs

2014

The 2024 Giant Spider doesn't have a save for its poison, but just does damage.

I like the 2014 version's paralyzing poison better.

So how will we be Indexing these?

I'd rather not delete the links to the old versions from the Index considering the effort we spent on them, so shall I add links to the 2024 formatted versions on a separate row?

For that matter, will we I* be posting the revised formatted versions on this thread once they're finalized?

*I know it'll end up being me transcribing the Enworld versions!

Great - will get cracking on some simpler ones before we get to some mechanics haedaches.

Okay, using the same text formatting as the "Variant" entry made the most sense to me so I've temporarily inserted the Giant Amblypygid into the Completed Fifth Edition Creatures Index as follows:

Index of 5th Edition Monsters
NAME
CR
D&D Beyond [CC]
Enworld
Amblypygid, Giantᴬ
1/2
 New Format Giant Amblypygid
1/2

Not sure whether I'll bother transcribing the revised formatted versions from D&D Beyond to Enworld, so the "Pending" might get changed to "—".

.changed to....ugh WOTC why you have to go and change the layout??

(though that said, I like the new layout)

Okay, I don't think I'll bother transcribing your 2024 format versions here since I'm lazy.

Maybe if I get really bored I'll add them on sometime but I don't feel any rush.

Gosh, is Fifth Edition really eleven years old now? Doesn't time fly.
