8 power sources. so what are the other 4?

Other than the four that seem certain, I agree that Shadow, Primal, and Artifice are the best choices. They cover necromancy/death/illusion, shamanism/animals/totems, and mad alchemy/runic stuff all pretty well, which covers a large range of things.

My choice for the eighth would be Music. Of course, I admit that it isn't very likely that it will be its own power source...

Stars, Vestiges, True Names, Fate, Runes, etc all work just fine as Arcane and/or Divine (just ask the Warlock). As such, I don't see any of those being its own Power Source.

I think either a dedicated summoning source (the Esper power source ), some refined version of Incarnum, or something new or unpredictable is the last power source. I really can't think of anything that seems as certain as even Artifice...

Seriously, though, I hope they don't map the power sources directly to planes. That seems a bit too contrived, and essentially makes all powers some sort of planar effect.

Husband - Marital Defender
Wife - Marital Controller
Mother-in-Law - Marital Leader
The Ex - Marital Striker

Somewhere, there was semi-official discourse on Ki, indicating it was NOT a seperate source to Martial.

If you could find this discourse, I'd love to see it.

The description of the Monk in Race & Classes makes it sound to me like he's either Martial or Ki, and says he'll probably be a striker. However, the label "Martial Striker" is at least 50% wrong for the Monk (source here).

Races & Classes emphasizes the Monk is a ways off and things could change, but Andy Collins notes that that is still the case when he makes his at least 50% wrong comment. It seems unlikely to me that they'd definitively switch away from the Striker role before the class went into serious design. So my guess is Ki will be a power source, and the Monk will be a Ki Striker.
