A 1 and a 20

For those of you who play PCs who dual wield, or just anyone who has had to roll more than one attack roll at a time. You ever roll a 1 and a 20? This has happened to me twice so far on the same character and I find it highly amusing. :)

I don't often dual-weapon wield, but yeah- i've seen this happen more often than you'd think it would... or perhaps it's just such a unique occurence that it's noticed more than say an 18 and a 2.

This seems halfway relevant...in our games we've got the "3 20's" rule. If you attack something and roll 20 three times in a row, it's an automatic death. We started up this 4th level game a while back and my character was dropped in round one action one by a goblin with a light crossbow. It was about the funniest thing I've ever seen. I rolled up a new character so fast I was back in the action on round 4.

I have a master thrower rogue with an ability to "trick shot" with thrown weapons; he makes a sleight-of-hand check vs. the targets spot, and if he beats the spot then the target is denied his dex bonus (and therefore can be sneak attacked).

What usually happens is this; I roll a 19 and add my awesome +18 sleight of hand modifier for a total of 37, no way that guy can beat it! I'm gonna sneak attack you to death, sucker! Then my attack roll is a 1 or 2 and I miss.

I see it more often with Crits... 20 to hit, 1 to confirm. Then again, I rarely see dual-wielders.

I could show you the 9th-level fighter who just joined my game. He has the Crescent Moon fighting style from Complete Warrior, dual-wielding a longsword and dagger.
