That's a great story man. (except the part about the job) She's definitely a keeper. My wife has never actually done THAT exactly,, but she's pretty damned supportive of my hobby. (every year I get a Gift certificate from my FLGS for Christmas and my birthday.)

A significant other who'll support your hobbying is for sure a blessing to be counted. Lots of guys aren't so lucky.
