A Better Soulknife

Full BAB, allow any core enchantment to effect the blade.
Problem solved.
I know the question has been asked before by others but please, allow me to ask it again:What on Pelor's green earth made WOTC give a class who is all about hand to hand combat, who has its entire worth and all of its mechanics hinged on fighting with a weapon forged from the character's will and mental strength, 3/4 BAB? What gives?

"A Better Soulknife" would make a great band name.

Oh, I thought "A Butter Soulknife" was a better band name.

No, seriously, I want to know who would want to see the Soulknife class very much improved? I have to improve it for the adventure I'm writing since I made some nice weapon arts based on the seven Jedi Lightsaber Fighting Forms.

I don't understand what you think needs to be fixed? The class seems to work fine as is, though full BAB would be nice and since I allow the Soulknife to pick any weapon enhancement within their normal limits (+1, +2, +3, so on).

Here's a very good reason why they need to be fixed.

The Heron’s Blade (Parry and Peirce) is Wilderlander Fencing for Soulknives. It is composed of the following feats: Combat Expertise, Improved Disarm, Improved Feint, Combat Reflexes, Weapon Finesse, Improved Initiative, Dodge, Spring Attack, Speed of Thought, and Mobility. The Heron’s Blade shows up a lot in Occidental Cultures.

:)

Technically, and on paper, it's a fine class. It's got great HP, two good saves, decent skill points and a great skill list.

It's just very hard to do anything with it except play a light skirmisher (one big hit every other round via Spring Attack). If you want to do anything else, it stinks.

My fix... will be posted elsewhere. Eventually. :)

When did we start talking about the Monk?

And shouldn't that be Beory's green Oerth?

Exactly the solution I came up with in my game. Full BAB also allows certain psionic weapon feats to be taken at useful levels IIRC and any core enchantment opens up bane weapons, and configurable bane weapons has been the making of the class when I've seen them used.

Cheers
