Let's all go except Sara. She can guard the village.
And it would later be determined that those words saved the inhabitants of the compound from a violent end....[/sblock]
The hand of plot pushes things forward:
Having figured out a way to avoid taking the bodies, the group soon figures out some other precautions. Cleaning up as best you can, you think you've got all the blood and gore out of your equipment. The various Ogre bits are carefully wrapped up and stowed in the haversack so as to attract no attention. Locks of hair are taken from Ducane and Opale, also to be stored carefully in a seperate pocket of the haversack. (You establish that things can be removed from the haversack under water without flooding it, by the way....)
Iggy uses a charge of the wand, and you once more visit your Merfolk employers. While you find them still disgruntled after the big fight, your relationship seems restored by the evidence of your elimination of most of their Merfolk enemies.
They remind you that the Merrow are lead by a particularly fierce Merrow with dangerous arcane powers, and stress that he is much more dangerous than even the mightiest of his minions.
Sadly, the merfolk have no one capable of raising the dead in any way. However, they hold out some hope:
"We feared after the battle ended so poorly that we might need to abandon our homes and flee the Merrow. We have been working on reactivating a gateway to the ocean that was built many generations ago. We will not not need it now, with the good news you have brought, but the power channelled into it should be sufficient to keep a gate to our motherland open for a full day. We have heard that our brethren there have among them a powerfull servant of the waves that can indeed return the dead to life, if the apropriate sacrifices can be made. Do you want to travel there?"
