A couple of feats for dragons, and a small request.

Krishnath

First Post
Due to my immense facination with dragons, I've come up with a couple of new feats.
These feats, called 'dragon feats' can only be taken by a creature that belongs to the creature type - dragon. Well enough about the feats, here they are:

Steelscale (Dragon)
The dragons natural armor is exceptionally hard.
Prerequisites: Dragon, Con 17+, Toughness
Effect: The dragons natural armor increases by +2. In addition, if the dragon has damage reduction, the amount of damage ignored is increased by +5 (For example a dragon with DR: 10/+1, is changed to DR: 15/+1 with this feat.)
Normal: The dragon has the AC and damage reduction, noted in it's age description.

Mind Reader (Dragon)
Due to it's strong psyche the dragon has the ability to communicate with and read other creatures minds.
Prerequisites: Dragon, Wis 15+, Int 15+
Effect: The dragon gains telepathy to a range of 30' X the dragon's age category.
Normal: Only gem dragons have telepathy, and only to a range of 100'.

And last, but not least:

Augment Breathweapon (Dragon)
The dragons breathweapon deals more damage.
Prerequisite: Dragon, Breathweapon, Con 19+
Benefit: The damage dice of the dragons breathweapon is increase one step to a maximum of d12. (Example: An adult green dragons breathweapon damage would increase from 12d6 to 12d8).
Normal: Without this feat the dragons breathweapon deals normal damage.
Special: Shadow dragons and other dragons which breathweapon doesn't deal damage cannot take this feat.

And now for the request: Does anyone know the formula for calculating a dragons SR?

I have a feat for dragons, but it is probably too powerful.

Improved Breath Weapon
The creature chooses a breath weapon and focuses and trains his breath weapon for improved effeciency.

Effect -The breath weapon chosen for this feat deals atleast 1/2 damage. ie:on a d6 1's and 2's count as 3's. on a d8, 1's, 2's, and 3's count as 4's; and etc, etc.

If you want to have overly powerful dragons then ya, you can use it. It is possible for non dragon monsters with breath weapons to use this feat.

Yeah, I know. My personal favourite among the three feats is Steelscale :D

Any ideas on calculating Spell Resistance on dragons?
Sorry man, I have no Freakin' clue.:(
I wish I did though, cause there are alot of dragons that have yet to be converted.
Maybe BOZ, Erica or Scott can shed some light on the subject?

Magus: Well, I hope so, just wish one of them would read and comment on this thread...

Zack: By hades, that feat is so broken it makes the titanic incident look like a papership sinking in a bathtub! Seriously though, what are the requirements? Drawbacks? As it is, it's way to powerful. a 4PC party with an average level equal to the CR of the dragon with that feat is dead.

I was wondering when that question was going to come up... But yes, since the template clearly states that the base creatures type changes to dragon. Note that all half dragons have only one age category.
