A Deep Dwarf PC?

Do you think the Deep Dwarf's extended darkvision and better racial bonuses make up for the light sensitivity?

DMs, if a player wanted to make a character as a deep dwarf for a little extra "flavor," would you allow this as a PC race option in your D&D games?

From d20 SRD: <<http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/dwarf.htm#deepDwarf>>

Deep Dwarf Traits (Ex)

These traits are in addition to the hill dwarf traits, except where noted.

* Racial bonus on saves against spells and spell-like abilities increases to +3.
* Racial bonus on Fortitude saves against poisons increases to +3.
* Darkvision out to 90 feet.
* Light Sensitivity: Deep dwarves are dazzled in bright sunlight or within the radius of a daylight spell.

I don't think so. I think dwarves are darn strong enough as is and unless the game is heavy on overland play, the -1 to hit is not going to balance out larger save bonuses and longer darkvision.

Unless the game has other very strong +0 ECLs like the warforged, the deep dwarf is a beard hair over the line.

The game I'm currently in has a Deep Dwarf, a Loresong Faen-spryte, and a Warforged.... the Dwarf's race isn't really much of an issue. :p
