power hungry!
As a player of a favoured soul in two different campaigns, I find them extremely powerful. More spells per day and more spells known than sorcerers = nice. I've never run out of spells when higher than level 3. With regards to nonspontaneous healing, I tend to take a vigor every other level and a cure on the other levels. Works out great.
Proficiencey, focus, and spec in god's weapon. All good saves = key. Wings! The biggest loss is turning undead. However, many clerics multi-class at higher levels anyway and lose their high turning ability.
I've concentrated my pcs mostly on buffing the party so I dont have to worry about DCs. If you are in FR, you may want to consider being a Favoured Soul/Mystic Wanderer/Heartwarder. Having a familiar and getting Dragon's Breath rules (that is the one DC that is pathetically low). You even qualify to take Arcane Prep this way to get rid of your ridiculous number of spells.
The lack of domain is sad though. I recommend Contemplative so you can get a bigger spell list to choose from for spells known.
