This is the coolest and highest class gaming table I have ever seen. Not only is it usable for RPGs, but would also be ideal for tabletop wargaming (another hobby of mine):

I know. Digging into their site, the basic version is just under $10K with no bells and whistles. If I had cash coming out of my butt, $15K would be an easy amount to spend on this.

How many gamers do you think buy/own something like this? That price tag seems pretty dang prohibitive for a hobby.

Good question. They had one of these on display at Gen Con 2008. I found it ironic that everyone wanted one, but I didn't see any orders being taken. (They may well have taken orders for a dozen or more. I only looked at it for about 10 minutes.)
