Spelljammer A look at 30 Spelljammer Minis

A bit surprised just how many Dark Sun creatures are apparently in new Spelljammer. I wonder what this means for Dark Sun itself.
I'm wondering the same thing. I was almost sure that including the thri-kreen in the Spelljammer UA meant Dark Sun was on the horizon, but including them in the SJ book (along with those Dark Sun minis) makes me think it's off the table.

I may still keep hope alive, though!

Thri-keen were in the 2e Spelljammer too, insectoid aliens are common trope

The zodar's proportions remind me a lot of a Sontaran.

Wonder if Hastain is a genasi, or a mercane.

The inclusion of multiple Dark Sun monsters feels very much like a hint. (Though an interesting one, since Dark Sun was classically quite isolated from the other parts of the D&D multiverse. Of course, so was Eberron.)

The new beholder seems to hearken back to their 3E design.

I think it makes Dark Sun more likely, since WotC likes to use Races that will show up across multiple Settings.

In a module or two, yes. But they were not prominent.

The xixchil (sp?) and rastipedes (also sp?) at least were in the Spacefarer's Handbook.

Eh, we'll see. Something tells me they don't want to attempt a full psion again and we're stuck with the subclasses that I'm not a fan of, and that would be the main thing Dark Sun would need.

My opinion, of course.

Yeah thats my issue too. I suppose they could make Athas a Spelljammer plane/Sphere but without a good psionics systems its meh
