"No signs of intelligent life, but we didn't know that orginally. We expected to encounter some hostiles, however the wall was also put up to make life easier for the few guards we were able to fit on the passenger list for the first trip. I have heard that you were attacked a few time on the voyage over... strange considering our trip was peaceful, save a storm or two." he places a finger on his little chin and turns to Ramas.
"Well we're planning to expand in a year or so, moving much of the working buildings outside the inner wall and possible errecting another wall... you could possible get a plot then, but thats long term planning." he says dismissively. "You could always clear out the mansion," he says pointing to the dilapidated manor far off in the distance, "but the two hunters believe it to be haunted as their pets wouldn't go near the place. Excellent segeway! he exlaims.
"Pets and laws and such. We're far from lawless here and tamed pets are among our populace. We don't use gold, not much use for that over here, but more of a quid pro quo system. So if youre looking for anything just ask em and see what they want for it. As far as the hunters... they should be back soon. It IS lunch time, but it's not uncommon for them to eat while they are out doing whatever it is they do out there." he says. "All excelent questions. Any more or shall we continue the tour?

"I would prefer the house at the shore. Or better yet, a ship. But I can help with buildings, haunted or not. I would also like to speak with the Captain of the Guard, I need to report for duty." says Luthor, mostly to Ramas, but directing that last part to the halfling.
 

Ramas inclines his head in response to the offer for aid. He opens his mouth to say something before he stops himself.

This is hard,caught between being a noble, that never was and a commoner Ramas thinks to himself he really doesn't know how to act, this trip was his chance to prove himself but who was he?
 

"Ahh..good. Hunters we talk .... to before....get cat ... oh and haunted....really expert in... undead. Not undead cat.... of course..."Thren pauses to consider. "Immortal.....cat... nine lives? Hmmm."
 

Tarukka looks at Thren from under his hood. But says nothing about his strange speech pattern. After all, who is he to call others strange?

"How do you think other people will react to my appearance?" he asks Lenny.
"I don't want to frighten anyone and yet it seems to happen all too frequently."
 

Lenny gets close to Tarukka and looks him in his slitted eyes. "I can't say everyone will accept you immediately, but those on the ship were already whispering to others about the bravery of you and your companions on the ship. Continue your course and you will be regarded as a hero here as well. Then you won't need to wear a silly hood in the middle of the day." he says solemnly. "Now, let's get going there are still a few more people and places to show you before you meet with Mr. Zircon. He is probably still discussing things with Captain Kunka."

“My apologies, then,” Arjhan rumbled after getting the gnome’s name wrong. “And thank you for your hospitality, Lady Zyra.” He gave a bow to the lady gnome.

The dragonborn followed the others out as Lenny showed them around the colony, taking them to the cliff overlooking the pier and then to the wall and showing them the ruins of an old manor in the distance.

“Has no one investigated that old manor?” Arjhan asked. “Someone must have lived here for that to exist. How do the hunters know it is haunted?”

“Has no one investigated that old manor?” Arjhan asked. “Someone must have lived here for that to exist. How do the hunters know it is haunted?”

"As I understand it, they assume it being haunted simply because their animal companions refuse to approach. Nobody actually saw anything." Luthor answers while Lenny talks to the tainted elf.
"We can investigate, both for the safety of the colonists and for Ramas interest."
