The rocking of the ships was just as bad as any storm, and Tarukka knew they would all be dragged down soon were this not finished. And yet, amidst the clash of battle and the din of shouts and screams, there was almost no way to get the groups to work together to at least save everyone's life.

" This is madness!" he roared, his voice almost lost to the thunderclap summoned by his traveling companion, " We'll all be dragged down lest we do something!"

The Pirates, however, didn't seem to be ones for parlaying. Whispering a silent curse, Tarukka agreed to speak their language. His arm filled with familiar strength, the blessings of nature coiling over his muscles and guiding the strike, Tarukka made to hewer the next pirate he saw as he bounded up the stairs to the upper deck, seeking to at least protect Luthor and hopefully end this by incapacitating as many men as he could.

Steely Dahn locks his sights on the next enemy that reluctantly took the place of his fallen comrade. He raises his sword again in practiced fashion. The poor pirate attempted to raise his cutlass in defense, but the force behind Dahn’s blow was too much for him. Dahn’s flamberge sliced deep into the man. His body lifeless though still clinging to the blade. A sidelong swipe and the limp corpse is released and flung over the railing.

The Pirate Captain makes his way across the deck and squares off against Luthor sending a barrage of attacks, but Luthor holds his grown parrying each swing in practiced fashion. On the other side of the poop deck the pirates attempt to surround the monk. Many blows reign down on the Thren but only one finds its mark. Finding a hole in his defenses a slice comes in and slices a deep gash just under Thren’s arm.

Pirates! Round 3
The sailors seal their control of the main decks and quickly surround and eliminate the pirates on their level. Several sailors begin making their way to the pirate ship via ropes to begin the process of separating the ships. They leave the remaining pirates to the few who already occupy the stairs, but stand ready to intervene if necessary.

OOC:
OOC: Thren takes 6 damage from a crit. PCs turn.

Round 3

Seeing the stairs open, Arjhan grinned. He maneuvered his way through the sailors and onto the stairs where the pirates and pirate captain engaged the other cleric. Taking a deep breath, Arjhan exhaled. Noxious fumes washed over the pirates and pirate captain.

Neurotic

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
"Is that the best you've got, you son of a sea cucumber? Look now how it is done!"

With that Luthor swings his club and...well...clubs the captain solidly on the shoulder.
"And now for the best part..." he quickly makes a sign of three lightnings with his fingers and High Captain offers Sanctuary to his faithful.

Since defence isn't working, Thren lashes out with a quick volley of punches at the two in front of him.

~ The fighting did not seem to be abating anytime soon. Though Ramas called for surrender, Tarukka was not sure it would go heeded: these pirates were desperate, and amidst the din of battle, demands for peace would be hard to accept. With the forecastle becoming a bit crowded, the Tiefling dodged his way to the left side of Luthor, taking a clean swipe at the captain of these renegades as he did so.

Cut of the head, after all ... ~

Arjhan takes advantage of the recently vacated space on the stairs and rushes forward to occupy it. He takes a deep breath and exhales a cloud of poison onto the Pirate Captain and his men. After the cloud dissipates only the Pirate Captain and one of his men is left standing.
Luthor swings at the Pirate Captain with his living club connecting with a solid hit.
Thren switches posture from defensive to offensive and swings at the pirate in front of him. He connects hard with his first swing but the pirate ducks his second swing at the last moment.
Tarruka also gets a clean strike on the Pirate Captain.
Dahn notices the clash on the upper deck and sprints up the stairs past everyone to put himself between the enemy and his allies.
The pirates rush to the aid of their Captain taking shots at all those who surround their leader. The pirate fighting Thren attempts a half-hearted swing against the monk that’s easily dodged. Another pirate rushes at Luthor and raises his scimitar, but suddenly freezes, unable to complete the motion. The remainder of the pirates surround Dahn and lay into him hard bringing him down to one knee.
The Pirate Captain squares off again against Luthor connecting twice with two solid blows. Unphased by his protection spell.
OOC: Luthor: Two hits vs ACs 17 & 19 for 5 & 6 damage respectively.
OOC:
OOC:
Tarruka: One hit vs AC 21 for 8 dmg
