Secret Level, a new TV show coming to Amazon, is an anthology animated series which features various video games--and one or two tabletop games! While Dungeons & Dragons doesn't get much of a mention in the article, there is a screenshot which shows Tiamat.

The show features 15 different IPs--mainly video games--and launches on December 10th on Amazon Prime.

Other properties showcased include Pac-Man, Mega Man, Spelunky, Sifu, Amored Core, The Outer Worlds, Exodus, and Warhammer.

For the life of me, I can't find the quote now, but I'm sure there was some old 1E source that said that there was like an 80% chance at any given time that Tiamat was in her lair, mating with one of her consorts while the other four stood guard to make sure they weren't interrupted.

...apparently, Tiamat's dragon boy-toys like to watch.
The closest I can find is a sentence in the 2E product "On Hallowed Ground" which has a sentence that reads: "Her realm, hidden in the hills of Avernus, is a sprawling cave complex guarded by her offspring and her lovers." I'm guessing there's a Dragon article somewhere that precedes this sentence which provides the details you mention.

Such a great short! Loved the Monk and the Druid. Hope we get a sequel!
Spoiler in opinion: It seems to me that they are choosing to show their resolve, standing their ground in a heroic last stand, though they are doomed. We don't need that resolve diminished by seeing them turned to melted, frozen, electrified ash, steaming with poisonous vapors. Fading to black where they did is a fitting end to the short story.

Honestly enjoyed the trailer, er I mean episode, but the ending made me feel robbed, it was just getting good. Way too short, like really not even a hour? It felt like an extended trailer for an actual TV series.
