A Simple Errand (DM:renau1g, Judge: covaithe)

Ingot introduces itself politely to Meepo, but its attention remains focused on Crag. It seems a little bewildered by the kobolds' conversation.

When Jax suggests that Meepo venture into the tavern, the warforged nods its head in agreement. "Good idea," it says.

Meepo was barely paying attention to the others, but he perked up when he heard his name mentioned. He grabs his pack and slings it over a shoulder. "I get it, a test for the new guy. Sorta an initiation thing. I remember what we put the wyrmlings through in my tribe. Unspeakable things they were. Best not to tell you. Regardless, I'll show you how good I am. You'll have the post back before you can say-"

Meepo darts back into the tavern, whistling as not to look suspicious. He waves to whoever is left in the room as he walks all the way to the far wall. He turns, facing the room, and with a subtle movement, frees the paper from the wall and tucks it neatly into his armor.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he places his pack back on. With a little thumbs up to his conspirators, he moves back towards the door, intending to show them how nonchalant he can be.

[sblock=ooc]I didn't know if Meepo might be stopped during his caper, so I left the last part of it inconclusive. Also, if anyone needs me to change my font to something that doesn't look too much like kalidrev's, I could go orange or purple. [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc] I'll wait for a response from r1 to Meepo's actions before I post for Crag. Meepo could use purple... purple's a fruit... (5 coins to he/she who can identify that quote)[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Pfft, keep the 5 coins. The Simpsons isn't obscure enough. :p

Anyway, I took Lime green as Jax's speaking color because I figured it matched his scales. Maybe red for Meepo since he has that patch on his head?[/sblock]

Meepo the Brave proves his worth as he enters the tavern, walks over to the piece of paper and puts it into his pack without any issue. Meepo manages to exit back out nonchalantly without arising any undue attention.

The piece of paper is rather odd, there is only one thing written on it towards the end of the page.

"The IAC"

[sblock=Arcana DC15]

The IAC stands for the Institute of Arcane Ciphers

Category:L4W Organizations - ENWiki[/sblock]

"IAC? Sounds like an acronym, and not one I'm familiar with. International Acrobatics Council? Internal Accounting Code? Industrial Acoustics Consortium?" Dorn comes up with an impressive list of possible names, each more ridiculous than the last. (Arcana 11)

Meepo looks over the paper for far to long before clearing his throat. "Excuse me." (Arcana 14)

"I think it could be that acrobatics one. It sounds familiar. But, now that I got the paper, does that mean we're teammates?" He stroked his arm nervously.

Ingot studies the paper briefly. "No, I think it might be the Institute of Arcane Ciphers," it says. (Arcana 20) "I don't know where it can be found - rumors say perhaps within the Hanged Man itself, or on Bacarte at that other tavern that can be reached through the portal. They have a reputation for exchanging coded messages in the tavern - does anyone see anything else on this paper besides that part at the end?"

Ingot examines the paper more closely. (Perception 19)
