Jax hops to his feet and darts and immediately reassess his surroundings.
"Ingot?! How did you get up here so fast? And where's Crag? Well, anyway, help me with this shadow-thing!" Jax, while dodging a few clumsy blows from the wraith, points to the area behind the foe.
Ingot steps away from the cornered phantom, moving back towards its friends. Its holy symbol turns left and its blade shines with sudden radiance. It swings at the other creature that is menacing Jax. The blade connects and the thing is instantly outlined in blazing light, squirming and smoking. Healing energies splash off and infuse Jax with more health.
Dorn steps forward to get a bit closer to the action. The half-orc's frustration increases as he fails to properly marshal his arcane power into a useable stream of lightning - only a feeble fizzling noise can be heard.
Meepo hustled up the field ready to help his allies again. Meepo whipped at the wraith.
"Hey, ugly. What's the matter, didn't think dying once was enough for you?" Having distracted it briefly, he turned to Ingot,
"we can finish that wraith. You ax is on our side! Send that thing back whence it came!"
As Ingot's blade strikes the strange wraith implodes into a mote of purplish light that streaks toward Veneficus, striking him square in the chest. The wizard stumbles at the impact but seems unhurt.
Crag strides forward, but his sword is errant as the female halfling ducks it.
The halfling's fire ineffectual blasts of light at the adventurer's.
The wraith is held in check by Ingot's light.
The dwarf however looks as if he's lost his mind, his eyes are wild as he loads his final bolt into the chamber of his weapon.
"You...stupid....kobold! " he curses and the bolt flies from the weapon. It streaks unerringly towards Jax and hits him square in the chest. The pain is devastating. He then throws down the crossbow and draws a warhammer, moving next to the rogue.
