I already know that I am very smart compared to other people like me, plus I have a very good sense of streetwise compared to everyone I personally know. I have been told that I am wise beyond my years, and gleams of pure spiritual resilience shine through on my best days. I am as healthy as an average person can be and I am as dextrous as one needs to be. I only find myself lacking in my personal physical strength. I know that it is below average even compared to a D&D hero, but an 18 Str is herculean. No, I would not want a Str of 18, but at least a 12.

Wisdom is the key to inner peace and perspective, and I think the most important attribute for leading a meaningful, positive life. Plus, you can improve your strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, and charisma, perhaps not to 18 for everyone, but a great deal anyway, if you just put forth the effort. They key to making the effort is perseverance, focus, and WILLpower. With a strong will you can realize your full potential. I don't really see any other attribute being able to help you substantially improve your Wisdom, whereas I see a high Wisdom enabling you to improve any and all others.

I'll take Intelligence. Wouldn't change much, but at least my health would improve ;)

And concerning the importance of Charisma I agree with Whisperfoot, but I still woudn't want to lose my Intelligence.

OK, so you got a job. It wasn't the one you wanted, because that guy with all his hair, the perfect teeth, and the natural tan got the one you really wanted...

Maybe in The Evil Empire. :p

Around here the average Int person would not even get an invitation to a job interview the high Int person applies for, because the requirements are not met, and without a personal meeting the Charisma cannot even be applied. ;)

Still, Charisma would be my second choice, followed by Dexterity and then Constitution (being sick sucks ;)).

Altho, instead of a single 18, three 14's and a 12 (starting at 10) sound a lot better, anyways.

Str 10 Dex 14 Con 12 Int 14 Wis 10 Cha 14

:D

I agree with Thanee about several rather good stats being better.

Int 18 may sound fine, but without intuition (wis), you're nothing, especially in fields where you'd normally think Int would be more important (Science!). Charisma is horribly important.

I'm not really surprised to see the physical attributes here underrated... aren't we all nerds sitting in front of computers instead of going outside (ok, it's raining)?

Personally I prefer geek:)

as for the Q

Cha or Wis
Cha because self confidence and social interaction is essential to success
Wis if it gives me the insight to be more self confident in my social interactions:D plus it means I could finally stop asking my wife where I left my glasses/keys/reports/etc
