Hi all, was wondering if i could seek some advice.
My character in a recent campaign has just picked up a large adamantite shield, with the original intention of reforging this into an adamantite long sword.
Having browsed through the rules, i am struggling with a few things:
a) What does an adamantite shield give you ? The DMG details benefits of both adamantite weapons (ignore hardness <20), and armour (damage reduction), but neglects to mention shields (does it count as armour ?)
b) How would one re-forge the item into a sword ? Looking at the craft rules it would take you approximatly 60weeks with a DC of 25 and rolling 20's every week to forge an adamantite sword! Im sure there must be easier ways than this (they only cost 3000gp shop price)
c) Is there any other way of reforging the sword...I have the 3000gp of material to make it, so i am kind of loathe to pay out another 2,100gp for a limited wish (which was suggested by the DM)...
Thanks in advance
