Dang yeah. I always confuse 0st and 1st edition. Not when I'm playing it though.Turjan said:I'm not sure why you think he'd be interested in this newfangled glitter.
I think your local store takes some liberties with the name "Half Price". I've replaced my entire weathered collection of 1E books at Half Price Books and most of them were $5-7 each. I got duplicates of Fiend Folio because it was a favorite and half its original retail price is only $6 (or something). I also picked up a Rules Cyclopedia for $12.50 to replace my copy with the spine coming off.Vigwyn the Unruly said:Try Half Price Books. There are at least two or three of them at just the Mason, OH, location. They sell for around $10 each.
I haven't bought any because I have no use for them. I only ever played Basic D&D during that time period, so that's where my nostalgial lies. I would definitely like to find a Rules Cyclopedia, but I never see those in used bookstores, and the ones on Ebay are just too expensive for a nostalgia-only purchase.
You run into that from time to time. I recently bought on EBay a group of two-dozen Silver Age omics for a buck-each, a great bargain, but had to dish out $ 29 in shipping ($ 6 for the first book and $ 1 for each book afterwards) and then he spend all of $ 6.30 to ship them to me and refused to give any sort of refund.teitan said:Speaking of selling, I got my copies of the five core books for a penny a piece and the guy refused to use flat rate shipping and charged me 30 and when the package got to me he used flat rate shipping!!!
