I have the same disorder. Only I've got about a dozen. :(

Also, older Dungeon Master's Guides. Those with the K.Bell "Demon Summoning" illo on pp 40 instead of the Erol Otus "Mage v. Undead Mage"

Cool... I think I have about 3 DMGs, but none of them have the K. Bell illustration. I'll have to check them and see.

I think I have an addiction. Whenever I see a copy of the First Edition AD&D Player's Handbook (the one with the idol cover), I buy it.

You know, just in case I can ever talk 4 people into playing a First Edition game. :)

You should check out this auction I've been following:

I haven't seen such a nice looking batch of 1e stuff in awhile. Ordinarily, I don't buy stuff on eBay, but dammit, I may just do it this time. Hmmmm.

Not that I'd find anyone to play with though. :(

I'm not sure why you think he'd be interested in this newfangled glitter ;).

Heh heh. Diaglo would say, "What's this 'paladin' and 'monk' and 'ranger' crap? When I was a boy, we'd play a 'Fighting Man', and that was good enough for us!"

Actually all of those classes were published in OD&D Supplements. It's interesting, actually, that up through 2nd edition D&D had 4 core classes only. All the other classes were variants on those 4.

I guess that means you consider psionics to be alternate wizardry or something? What makes 3E different if the base 4 can be stretched that far?

My two are enough for me. For me it's Moldvay Basics & Cook/Marsh Experts. Though, so far, it's only two of one & three of the other, but that's a lot for me.

& the 3e UA (& True20) made everything a variant (or combination) of only three!

Got any with goldenrod/yellow endpapers?

Oh this reminds me...before I forget...a buddy of mine has a Player's Handbook I'm lusting after and I will pry it from his grip. It isn't anything special, just a 6th+ print. I'm after it for the price tag on the back. You see, Gregg (aforementioned friend) is from Milwaukee originally and his "FLGS" was The Dungeon in Lake Geneva. :D

(Somehow I don't think he's going to let it go!)
