Adding another log. Lightning Panther Strike.

Lightning panther strike blasts your enemy with lightning while making the sky rain panthers, who then devour his ashy corpse. Take THAT Exalted and WoW.
Actually it sounds right in line for an Exalted spell. Off the top of my head call it celestial circle and toss some numbers at it and it would fit right in.

The kung-fu attack name generator linked in the thread already spewed up some impressively near-NSFW gold.. I have seen at least 10 different results that seem more like they should be in a Wuxia-themed case specific type of flick genre than in a ordinary Wuxia swordsman film. Some are pretty funny, if you think about them in the right way, even. But wow. not what I was expecting.

On the other hand, it would be amusing in the right sort of game. Not sure what age group I'd target one like that for. Definitely not one for the kiddies.

Hey, if Lightning Panther Strike lets you hit large black felines made of electricity, I have no problem with it whatsoever!

Gronk Bonesnapper strikes a Celestial Goldfish Pose and lashes out with his Thundering Cricket Forehead!

Hmm. If this sort of thing catches on, it might be first thing I've read about 4E that I like.

:D

Conan did attack by biting by the way:

"They had rolled beyond the circle of light, and it was in utter blackness that the Cimmerian battled. Once he sank his teeth, beast-like, into the flabby substance of his foe, revolting as the stuff writhed and squirmed like living rubber from between his iron jaws."
The Slithering Shadow, R E Howard

It isn't like he had a special eat or talent for that. What he had was no weapons and something horrible from the deeper darkness trying to eat him.

With animal names being an integral descriptor of the various powers, what happens when you don't have that type of animal in your game world? Am I going to have to go through the powers and rename them?

As an example, say I don't have dragons in my campaign, but I do have hamsters. Are the powers in my game going to read like this:

Hamster Tail Cut
Flying Hamster Fright
Roaring Hamster Breath

;)
