THIS IS GETTING US NO WHERE! screams the panicked Veruza. Nyar do you have a spell to? You know... Veruza motions frantically, bending at the knees, making a cup with her hands, picking up the imaginary group and standing up raising her arms to dump the cup outside of the arena. Does no-one have a rope?

Veruza tries to get some eye contact from the Hobgoblin, Goblinoid, If you and the Rubble actually surrender, be productive. Lizardface, your helping us get out as well. Now who has rope, and how are we getting out? Any nimble lockpicks that can get that door open the Tiefling went down?

Diplomacy, 18

(After the hobgoblin response to Veruza)

"I have no teleportation spells mastered yet. I did teleport the head of a rat five feet once, but the body wasn't able to maintain living independently..."

"I do have a rope," Nyar pulls the rope from his pack.

Baern continues to go up the wall, taking care if he can to avoid the spikes. At the top he begins to tie off a rope and lower it.

[sblock=OOC] Athletics again, should put me about 50' worth of walking 1d20+10=23 Enough?

Baern successfully gets to the top and starts tying off his rope.

The 40 foot climb to the top is two DC 10 checks due to the rope.

However, the spikes protrude out away from the wall, the climb over the spikes is still DC 22, and the group will need to come up with ways to overcome that challenge for those who are not good at climbing.

Also, I will be out of town this week, so I may or may not be able to post.

"I will get to the spikes and brace the rope over my shoulder. That should enable the rest of you to get over them. Or I can break the door on this level?"

KarinsDad, what kind of check would that be? The idea would be that Cairn braces himself over spikes so that others climb to him, stand on him and then continue last five to ten feet as if standign on a platform

EEP! I'd like to keep my head. shaking her head and hands to indicate no headless transportation was necessary, Veruza moves closer to Audrey, and grabs her sisters hand. You can do this, get up that rope, and get to safety. Who will tell the master what happened to our parents, one of us must survive. I'll be up soon after.

The stone being climbs deftly and braces itself almost horizontally, just under spikes, so that others can climb over it, avoiding spikes.

He then pulls the rope up and climbs the rest of the way, using spikes as climbing aids seemingly unaffected by sharp metal on his skin (surface?).

Climbing (1d20+10=25)
Climb over spikes (1d20+10=22)

OOC: if this is only aid another, Cairn takes 10 if possible (he fails only on 1 anyhow)

OOC: ignoring metal is only fluff of course, I rolled 22 to avoid injury :)
