D'Artagnon catches his breath for a second, and strains to see the other 'laundry bag'. As soon as he can spot it, or see any air bubbles, he will try to tip over the water barrel and roll it to the edge of the dock....he also grabs one of the boathooks...

OOC: No idea where they went. Silentspace last posted Today so maby he just lost track of the thread. Neoweasel last posted 1-28-04 so he might be gone.

Zhang sputters onto the dock. Taking the knife he cuts Atella loose and tries to stabilize him.

Gasping for air that isn't there, Jo watches as the shrunken man seemingly drags away the body nearby. They drift off into the gloom and disappear.

"Heellllp!!" yells the half-human.

But what he actually says sounds something more like, "Hurble-uble-ulp!" A stream of bubbles float away from Jo's cry for help, as his mouth fills with fishy-tasting brine.

Zhang slices the bonds from Atella's limbs, and rolls the rogue over on his side. Sea water pours from his mouth and nose, a spring of pungent smelling herbs waved before Atella's nostrils begins to revive the elf's senses and forces him to take a deep, sputtering breath.

D'Artagnon heaves the water barrel over on its side, and with a good kick, sends it over the side of dock. With a great splash, it floats low in the water a few feet away from the dock. Snatching up a ten foot long boat hook, he rushes to the edge of the pier to see the second body beginning to struggle beneath the water, bubbles streaming from his mouth to burst at the water's surface. However, with his hands and feet securely tied, the second victim cannot possibly resurface.

Carefully, (but with some haste, so not as careful as possible) I attempt to grab the body with the boathook, preferably hooking clothing or a piece of armor...I'm keeping an eye on the barrel...(I didn't realize they were tied up, so it's a wasted barrel roll)....

The remaining body inthe water comes to life and begins thrashing, as D'Artagnon reaches with the boathook. He just manages to hook on the bodes lashing the victim's hands together. The pole is almost wrenched from his hands, but he hangs on, and drags the swimmer over to the dock to haul him up to safety. It is Jo, the half-elf druid he'd met only minutes before, sputtering and spitting water.

The great eagle that has been hover about, lands heavily on the druid's shoulder and begins preenign Jo's tousled hair.

Atella awakes to a lumpish, greenish face staring at him in concern. He's sopping wet, and his hands and feet are tingling with pins and needles.

Jo feels his hands caught with the hook and pulled out of the water. He looks up and recognizes in his rescuer the same human he had found so repulsive earlier.

"Uh... thanks", he manages to get out. "Could you help me get untied?"

OOC: What kind of damage is Jo suffering from?

OOC: Ooops! Meant to post that, and completely forgot... You're both suffering from hefty dose of subdual damage is all.

In Zhang's expert opinion, Jo and Atella are none the worse for wear. They both have large lumps on the backs of their heads, they're a little shaky on their feet, and undoubtedly have excrutiating headaches... But it's nothing that a good night's rest won't clear up.
