Those of you at the Ditch:
There is a 3 foot tall torrent of rushing water running through the deep creek here. It is heading southward, away from the direction Gur has been leading the party. Gur shouts something to the effect of, "I'm almost wishing we took the road!" He then slowly lowers himself into the body of water, holding tightly onto the earth and grass as he lowers his head below the ditches surface.

Those of you at the Body:
The body laying before you is that of a fairly strong looking young half-elf man in a deep red robe of some sort, trimmed with precious looking metal buttons. You can also see a shortsword along his belt and a leather sack that seems to be fitted around a thick book. He appears to be unconcious, face up, and his lips are cold.

"Oh. I hope he's alright. Lets try to get him up and awake." Shariff says and casts Prestidigitation (Create smelling salts) he waves his fingers under the Half Elf's nose.

The half elf wakes up, struggles to sit up, and stares at you all. He then states, "How the hell are so many coincidences happening at once?" with a stammering breath, and grabs for his weapon. He holds it aloft and pulls his robe up a bit to look at his leg. You can see what appears to be a shining insect that appears to have stabbed the man in the leg with it's two mandibles.

The half-elf stabs the insect in the back, and then tries to pull out the two fangs engraved in his muscle. He scrapes the remains of it away and then turns to the people, "I was trying to harvest those things for their sleeping venom. I didn't ever expect that one of them would be able to get out of the net... Thank you."

The man stands up, "I should be fine, but this storm is incredible? Were you sent to find me? What is going on here?" Struggling to yell through the downpour.

Gregorian just pulls the horse into the ditch, holding onto it for support. He looks only to where the cave may be and works hard to get to it.

"ummm.. nice to meet you sir.. but my suggestion is.. is if you can walk.. we need to make it to that ditch over there..... we have friends over there..... there's safety in numbers..."

*Corix laughs*

The elf grins, seeming almost like he is laughing at everyone as he stands on his feet. "No, I don't think I want to go in a ditch, no need to suffer a flood when I don't need to..." He then looks at the group entering the ditch in the distance, "Looks like that could cause some trouble for them. You know, I didn't expect anyone to be anywhere around here at this time of night..."

He then looks over everyone with that same cunning seeming grin, "I'm going to head 'thataway', don't follow me. My name is Jirlai, and I'll try to remember your faces. I'm heading to the Trade City to do some business with a particular bartender..."

The elf, seemingly ignoring the weather and those who helped him, begins walking southward, back towards the Red Dragon Inn...

Shariff just looks at Corix and says "OooK. Lets get back to the others. Hey. Wait a minute. A ditch in this weather? Couldn't there be a flash flood?"

Silvercat looks at the Ditch, weighing his chances of Jumping over it... <how wide is it?>

"I come all the way over here in this weather to see if you are ok.. and all you can say is "don't follow me"?.... I have half I mind to shoot you in the rear with my crossbow mister! The least I could get is a thankyou you ungreatfull bastard!"
