"Oh man, I don't know..." Ewald has a difficult expression on his face as he sees Gur go down under water. Hesitating, he looks from Silvercat to Devlin. "Devlin, come on, wake up."

"Shouldn't we wait for the others? Splitting up seems like the last things we should do, and those little guys will probably have enough trouble with the water as is."

(OOC: We walked 600 ft. Shouldn't Devlin be okay by this time?)

[Note: Devlin is, in fact, awake. He is with the group by the ditch, but hasn't dared to set a foot inside just yet. His player is away right now.]

"I come all the way over here in this weather to see if you are ok.. and all you can say is "don't follow me"?.... I have half I mind to shoot you in the rear with my crossbow mister! The least I could get is a thankyou you ungreatfull bastard!"

The figure seems to shrug a bit by throwing it's shoulders up under it's cloak. It walks, paying no attention to the storm itself. As you watch him, you can see two much larger funnel clouds forming in the south, and the figure acts as if their movements do not have any consequence.

Those of you at the Ditch
Gur is waste deep in the small (6.5 foot wide, 3.5 feet deep, 2.5 foot filled with water) ditch. He is forcing himself forward slowly, attempting to lay low while running himself through the fast but relatively small current. He shouts back, "Maybe dis 'sisn't the best idea!" as he slowly presses on.

(In case you can't tell, Gur is trying to walk through the ditch to avoid being spotted, not trying to cross the ditch)

Ewald looks over his shoulder to where they came from. "Gur, I don't think I see any of the skeletons, or those wind-creatures. Shouldn't we just find shelter as soon as we can?" Ewald rummages through his backpack, looking for a rope. "Here, I'll throw you something if you want. Couldn't we just walk along the bank to the cave entrance?"

Gregorian looks at the ditch and decides NOT to go into it.

This is insane! he thinks as he uses the cover of his horse for protection. I thought that the ditch would protect us from the brunt of the storm, but now I see it's to shallow to even offer us protection from sight, much less the wind. Horse and I would be better off on solid ground I think. I'll follow next to them on dry land. he continued to think as he put actions to his thoughts.

Devlin, sensing that he is no longer in immediate physical danger, lets loose a moan and a shudder. "Uuuhhh. What was that thing? Where are we? What'd I miss?"

Silvercat, smaller than Gur and not at all sure of the validity of ditch-wading, Jumps over instead, trying to use his Tumbling as needed to avoid hurting himself upon reaching the other side. once across, he will walk parralel to the Ditch, staying low to the ground, keeping pace with Gur Chuck Chuck.

Shariff looks around annd sees his companions leaving and says to Corix "We had better catch up with them and let them know we found the stupid $%#@."

Ewald hooks one arm below Devlin's shoulder, steadying him. "You're okay. It seems like you were hit with some spell. it nearly got me too. We're away now, though. You were unconscious for the while." Ewald turns to where they came from, looking for sign of the others.

"We'll have to wait for the others, they saw something a little way off. Gur said that the entrance should be that way, following the ditch will get us there."

When the others catch up, Ewald will follow the silver-haired elf across the stream.

Gregorian will stay on the this side of the stream, but follow it with the others. He looks quite distressed as the wind and rain ruin his hair, clothing and disposition.

As Gur pushes his way up the creek that had been created by the rain, he groans a bit, but seems to enjoy being wet and filthy at the same time.

As the party regroups, Silvercat on one side of the ditch, Gur in the water, and the others on the other side, the group beginst to traverse forwards. After about a quarter mile, the storm seems to let up a bit, an opening in the sky is overhead, and you are now on a cliff overlooking what appears to be a tiny canyon with a hole in the cliff-face on the far side.

The cavern is 140 feet deep, the hole is on the opposite side of the canyon 80 feet down. The canyon is 40 feet across, and a little over 200 feet wide from side to side. On the opposite side of the canyon, a sturdy chain ladder and pully system seem to be built securely into the ground above the cliff face. These implements lead into the cavern, the opening being roughly 7-8 feet on all sides. The cliff is very smooth from rain and mud flowing over the sides. The recent rain makes things look very slippery.

Gur crawls out ditch 100 or so feat before reaching the small canyons face, and he looks to be covered from the waste down in mud and water. His clothes, obviously, appear ruined. He seems to take no note of this.
