Silvercat can't help but poke fun at his new friend 'Well, piggie, did you enjoy your mudbath?' :D

< Is this Canyon a big jagged hole in the ground, whereas we could walk around to the other side or do we have to climb down our side and up the other to the top (?) to rappel down to the Cave...?>

Gregorian looks at the shaft in the middle of the cliff and shakes his head, while turning to his mount and asking "Now how are we going to get you in there?" he knows that they are not going to be able to do so, but had to voice the question. I paid good money for this horse and am loath to leave it to preditors right yet... specially with those maniac dolls running around! he thinks to himself, curessing the horse in a loving manner.

He turns to the group, a pleading look inhis eyes as he asks "What will I do with the horse? I don't want to leave him to those doll things."

"I understand your concern, Gregorian. I'm loathe to leave my donkey behind as well, even though I've only had him for a couple of days."

(The canyon is 200 or so feet in length, it looks something like the ground looks when an axe cuts into mud, but this looks more like a huge axe into rock, a few times at different angles. It should be really simple to walk the 100 feet to either end, and then around to the repelling equipment.)

Devlin looks down into the canyon, then around at the party. He shrugs his shoulders and follows Silvercat around to the North, gently pulling his donkey after him.

Assuming everyone makes it over to the ladder equipment, you now have to figure out how to deal with your mounts for the time being. For climbing down, I'm going to let you all roll this check yourselves, as you post.

[The DC is 5 to climb down the wet rope ladder. You can take 10 on this check. Failure by 5 or more results in slipping, and possibly falling down into the basin of the canyon (40 feet from the top).]

Silvercat descends first <17 Climb check>, keeping his eyes out for anything irregular in the rope.

The rope is in good condition, and well secured. It does not appear to have been frayed, worn out, or tampered with in any way. When you get to the entrance to the cavern, you can make out a glowing light orbiting in circles roughly 60 feet away. It appears to be orbiting around an indistinguishable dark object, but if you squint, it appears that it could be a person.
