Adventure: Echoes of O

OOP: he did sneak attack so he must have had CA and that's where the +2 came from. another thing also, could you(DonI) please post an xp summary at the end of the adventure and please do not scatter the xp posts around so it becomes really hard for me to find and approve the xp(also to mention the players has to put less links at their character pages) so please, at the end or when you think the players are gonna level up.

are you, the players also ok for this?

OOC: I fine with this. :)

I don't mind much either way. Whatever works :)[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Well, I'm dumb. The attack hits anyway, and I already included the sneak attack damage. It is still Dawn Raven's turn, and I'll post all XP at the end of the adventure.[/sblock]

Les moves up behind Raiyek and swings her chain over his shoulder, launching at the Marley-copy's shoulder. However, the speed of the monster surprises her and she lets out a threatening growl as it goes flying past.

I should also be at initiative 19 - I forgot to add the +2 from the warlord

Oh, I guess that means I can go. I'll do it in a new post.

Is everybody using different flanking rules than me? This is the second time I've seen someone worry about which way a creature is "facing". Isn't the rule just "you flank if there's another melee combatant directly across from you"? (So in this case, Kruk would need to move to G4 to flank with Raiyek - nobody else is adjacent.)

I was trying to figure out the flanking procedure from what I read and saw in the diagrams form the phb 4e. There are many pictures with arrows showing a possible flanks. It's confusing to me. INT -3. I'll just follow what your are saying. I guess the other ones are for fighting large monsters.

It didn't matter in the end. My attack roll was bad anyway :.-(

Rabbit hesitates as the thing appears, and then says, softly,

[sblock=Magari]
Be at peace, leader - you'll never raid Mictlan with me, but at least its Lord won't claim you now! No unlife for you, but you've been saved from his grasp another way. And for your echo, we will deal with it:

Stars turn your faces
Moon hide your eyes
See not the void that Marley's death has wrought
Fates shun this mockery that takes his place!
[/sblock]

With that, he thrusts his hand forward and a blast of force leaps towards the echo. Without waiting to see its effects, Rabbit scurries out of the way and takes cover behind a chair.

[sblock=Flanking]The flanking rules are pretty simple in essence. As Joe said, you're only flanking if you and an ally are on opposite sides of the target. If in doubt, draw a line from the middle of your square to the middle of your ally's square - if the line crosses two opposite sides of the target's space, you're flanking. If it doesn't do that, you aren't flanking.

For Medium-sized creatures, if you're adjacent to the creature there's only one square that an ally can be in to flank with you - directly across. You, Target, and Ally have to make a straight line :)

Hopefully that clears things up ... but I'm sometimes not very good at explaining things clearly. If I've confused you more, just ignore it ;)[/sblock]
