Rava calls forth to the power of her god, and marks the bandit atop the parapet with a sacred glyph, leaving him exposed. Coordinately, Hilkalas lets loose another swarm of illusory tentacles that threaten to throw the other bandit off the parapet.

Jayce continues climbing over the wall onto the parapet of the fort.

GM: Ignore Bandit 2 on the picture. Sirrah's undeclared Opportunity Attack allowed him to kill Bandit 2, and that resulted in Jayce taking less damage.



Sirrah climbs the wall, peering over the parapet before lifting himself up.

As Sirrah gets to the top of the wall, an arrow flies past his head.

Sirrah climbs on top of the wall and makes his way around to the front. He draws his large blade from his belt and wordlessly bears down on the nearest guard.


Jayce finally starts to climb the fort wall.

As Jayce gets to the top of the wall, an arrow flies by. He then climbs over.


Tana doesn't see any reason to try and scale the wall yet; she changes targets and throws her sword at #2. Then tries to get the kinks out of her shoulder after the second inaccurate throw. Still, no one is shooting at her yet ...

Even with the parapet in the way, Tana's arrow hits the lightly armored bandit.

The first, second, and sixth bandit take advantage of Jayce's tactical error in moving too close to Sirrah and send a volley of arrows into both Sirrah and Jayce. Sirrah gets struck once, but Jayce gets struck three times and falls.

The third bandit fires an arrow into Rava's arm while the fourth bandit shoots an arrow past Tana.

The last bandit fires a bolt of darkness at Hilkalas, but misses.

As Jayce falls, Jasper takes advantage of the confusion. "Pumpkin, round them up and kill." Jasper shouts as he points at Rava and charges her. "With you dead my dear, the rest of your team will fall and all of your magic becomes mine. Bwa ha ha!

Pumpkin races quickly in and slashes Rava's leg with its sharp teeth, before moving away quickly and slipping in on the other side of Hilkalas.

Jasper rushes at Rava with his short sword, but even Rava is amazed at how easily she avoids his clumsy sword thrust.

GM: Remember, every PC except Sirrah still has an action point and a second wind.



Terrain: The entire area is wet from the rain.

The road is difficult terrain due to mud. The rest of the area is wet, but it doesn't affect movement.

Cliffs: The entire area is surrounded by wet, extremely hard to climb cliffs that go up for at least 50 feet. The trail is right next to the cliffs on the right and left hand sides of the map.

Outpost: The interior of the outpost cannot be seen, just the walls. In the front of the outpost is a large wooden gate. The bandits on the walls have a cover bonus to all defenses.

Rubble: Although climbable, the rubble is both difficult terrain and has the normal climb penalties.

Note: There are two ladders, one at V13 and one at V19.

The buildings are about 12 feet tall, so one can move from the 15 foot tall walls to a building with no problem. It's just a single extra square of movement.

There are doorways (doors are open) into the buildings at Y17 and Y18, but they are not visible on the map.

Rava is taken by surprise by the sudden betrayal. She steps back and tries to keep her former employer away from her, while boosting her allies.
"What? Preposterous! I'll rip your treacherous soul out of your burning flesh for this!" The marshal curses, and takes quick repeated slashes at the air with his sword. The ground beneath Jasper seems to crumble into a black void, where black tendrils crawl and grab at him. At the centre of the pitch black hole, a giant eye suddenly opens and looks at Jasper with gluttonous hunger.

Rava shiftes to O 11 and uses Hymn of resurgence: 10 and 23 vs Jasper and Pumpkin's fortitude. If hi, take -2 to defenses and next attack drops them prone. Hilkalas gains 5 THP.
Hilkalas shifts to O 13 then Beguiling strands on both Jasper (24) and Pumpkin (20) for 6 damage, pushing Jasper to U7 and the dog to R19. If they were hit by Rava they also drop prone.
Use Inspiring word on Rava, she heals fully.[/sblock]
