Adventure: Fire and Ice

The Captain relaxes a bit and calls out "Yah did good! I'd be willing to take y'all on as me crew once you're done playing with those monks?"

Ingot appears to seriously consider the offer. "Thank you, Captain! Your offer is tempting. I'm sure that working on your ship would bring me to many new places where new experiences would await. But for now I have chosen the path of the adventurer, so I must decline."

The warforged steps off the boat onto the island and looks around a little bit wide-eyed. A place other than Daunton. Wonderful! What next?

The group takes a few minutes to recover their strength following the harrowing battle with the ninjas and the surprisingly difficult sea voyage. The Captain maneuvers the boat into the shallower beach area of the island. No dock is visible so he begins moving the vessel closer to the island, which prompts Hardak to leap from the boat and rush to the safety of land. Standing their dripping, the dwarf waits while the others to arrive.

The rocky island is completely isolated and without your guide it surely would have been more difficult to find. The Captain drags the boat the rest of the way to the shore. He gestures to the stairs leading up to the small buildings on top of the island "Well, there ya go, Jeram Monestary, I'll be waiting here, can't stand those monks, when ya're ready ta go back to Daunton I'll be waiting. Oh don't forgot my gold" then the man turns to securing the boat.

The stairs loom before you...

Ingot marvels at the landscape. So open... so few buildings. And no people!

After a few moments of gawking, it hurries after the dwarven priest.

Skalisss says a prayer to Netari for their safe passage and falls in line after Hadrak. "Ssstay sssharp, my friendsss" he says to the others. "There isss no telling who, or what, may be watching..."

The group cautiously and carefully begins the long arduous climb up the seldom used stairs cut into the rock. Hadrak bravely leads the others up to the walled structure, a set of oak doors bars your passage. Looking up you see a duo of robed men looking at you from the top of the walls, with slings in their hands.

"Who approaches our monastery? What business have you here? Speak now or suffer at our hands" the taller of the says.

These men are looking nervous and don't seem confident in their use of the weapon in their hands

Between Skalisss' words and Dorn's aid, the monks turn to each other and whisper back and forth furtively, the shorter one saying "Well, if you were sent by Brother Hiram, where is he at? He was to accompany you?"
