Vanadan stands there smiling under his hood. "How much is it for one room, goodman?" he asks from the innkeeper.

"Three silver, and if you want breakfast 5 copper each head. I can't afford to put you up any cheaper than that, with the other rooms being taken up for no compensation by the guild. I can't serve much of a breakfast, but if your work warrants a hot meal, I'll get up extra early for the lot of you."

Master of tact, Wogar, speaks:

"How come the guilds need so many rooms, and how come they don't pay?"

"As Nertle found it in his heart to pay for my transportation tomorrow, I will spring for breakfast. I will also pay for one room, a treat to whoever is bunking with me." Jairik takes out some coin and turns to the innkeeper, "and there's an extra silver in it for you if I can have the room furthest from the guild rooms."

Jairik winces slightly as he hears Wogars question.

Jairik pays 8 sp; 4 for the breakfasts, 3 for the room, 1 extra if he can have room away from guild (otherwise he pays 7)

Jairik looks around the main room, checking if anyone else has entered since they have, either from the street or from the rooms. He also looks to see if the innkeeper has noticed Kreepto, and what sort of reaction he might have to him.

Kunst waits as the innkeeper speaks, wondering what may be best for tomorrows escapade. After a few of the others have spoken, Kunst takes a moment to say something "I shall take you up on that offer, it was Jairik, wasn't it?" With that, he'll continue to stick around till the others head off for their bunks and then retire to get a good night's rest.

OOC: in the morning he'll memorize Unseen Servant and Grease instead of his standard Mage Armor and Magic Missile

"I'll take one room, then. Here," he throws four silver coins to the counter "Keep the rest."

"If anyone has nothing to say. I wish to retire to my room. I'm assuming that we will meet here, downstairs, when it is time to leave." With that, Vanadan turns and walks to upstairs.

Jagos looks after Vanadan as he leaves, hoping that his impatience and apparent dislike of everyone else won't get the group into trouble. Well, anymore than we're already in, he corrects himself silently.

"So, anyone wanna split a room?" Jagos asks as he puts 2sp before the innkeeper and looks at the others expectantly, while at the same time seeming deep in other thoughts.

"We should retire then, Kunst, as we will both need rest if our powers are to be there sharpest on the morrow. With that Jairik snatches the key from the innkeeper and heads for the stairs.

OOC: Jairik plans on rising early, heading for the market to purchase an extra waterskin (1 gp), a bag of caltrops (1gp), and two days trail rations (1gp). I will edit my character record to account for extra weight and less coin.

Nace raises and eyebrow at the elf's demeanor, then looks to Jagos when the question is asked. "I'll share with you," the dark youth says, fishing two silver bits from his belt pouch and tossing them on the counter. "And early to bed sounds good as well."

[ooc - He'll accompany Janos up, then sleep soundly in the night]

After 12 hours at the Inn, and a full breakfast, your group finishes all of their activities and purchases (make sure to get all accounting done, then if your not approved yet tell me in this thread and I'll read your data). The innkeeper prepares a filling breakfast, but his abilities as a chef are at best mediocre. When the group has completed their activities, you head out towards the market square.

Waiting at the square are two recognizable faces and a few unfamiliar ones. The lady-mercenary Lydia is there, along with her follower Nertul. Kreepto comes in with your group, and he seems unusually scared, though this is certainly not out of place for himself.

Lydia greets and explains, "This set of nine wagons is carrying some new equipment into the mines. This includes a whole lot of water and food, and it most likely won't be checked for traps or stowaways. Just jump into the 8th wagon there, and lay flat. 'Should be enough room for the eight of you. I'll be leaving you after this point, but I think you'll still need Kreepto. All I can say is that you'll need to be careful, and lay below the blankets that cover the surface. I had a carpenter fix up a big wooden top to cover your particular wagon so that nobody notices you. That's what most of your gold payed for. The rest of it went to a meal for the wagon accountant, and since he owes me a favor, and he's ameniable to good actions, he arranged this."

"Please don't get caught. I don't think you will during this season, but if you do, try not to be a rat? Eh... well theres to many of you for me to accept any promises. Just... good luck."
