(OOC: Absolutely--I'm not at all trying to say its a bad idea, but I know I'm sometimes bad at providing common-sense reminders, so I was trying to make sure that I pointed out it was the wrong direction so you knew ahead of time.)
OOC: Common Sense, what's that? :heh:

To Varina in Draconic:
[sblock]There may be more to it that I do not know, but I believe he does not desire to kill when it is unnecessary. Also, if we will be travelling together, we should introduce ourselves. I am A'jardin, an arcanist.[/sblock]

OOC:
[sblock]Request for character knowledge. Would we know if the orc equipment would sell at normal half market price, or would it be less because it's "smelly orc equipment"? I've been burned before on this kind of thing, with the dm stating that captured equipment was worthless when they realised how much the party would make off of it.[/sblock]

*Vrina replies in Draconic:*
[SBLOCK]
"I am Vrina, daughter of Lyana."
[/SBLOCK]

(OOC: The orc's armour is poorly kept, fitted for orcs, and has a foul odor, not to mention orcish symbols on it. You could probably work on the items to make them more passable with a bit of effort if you have some Craft skill. Otherwise, it will sell for half of half price due to the problems with it. Not insignificant, but not wonderful. The axes have less problems)

ooc:
[sblock]At a quick estimate, somewhere around 600gp worth of equipment, even after most of it being nerfed due to "ork-ness". Can't afford to ignore that, especially after being robbed. Unless there is more of substance to discuss, let's go.[/sblock]

ooc: Just as a comment, the Hobgoblin leader is speaking as though he and his men have the equipment. A'jardin started looting it way back in post 400, so I think we should have most of it before they try to loot it. However, based on Rystil's comment, the loot is worth roughly 300gp (very roughly). I say Somac, keep your axe, and we move on.

Just remember to kill these particular self righteous, annoying, hypocritical, extorting, Hobgoblins next time we meet them. BTW someone please ask what unlikely town hires a group of hobgoblins to save them from Orcs?

Tandi watches as the hobgoblin reluctantly turns when his leader orders him off the render she was guarding. Watching them go, she turns to the little girl. "What's your name little one?" When she receives a response, she continues. " Well, <girl's name>, it seems that Doggie may yet live today, but we need to get him some help first. Let me see if I can get one of my friends here to help him." Tandi then stands and tries to get the attention of the one with the healing wand.

ooc: I just want to get done with these hobgoblins and not have to deal with them anymore. I'm tired of it. Also, don't expect Scun to heal the Grey Render with his magic - not gonna happen.

"Laynie," the little girl says quietly.

OOC:
[sblock]Rystil, can we please "fast-foward" past any more interactions with the hobgoblins. It has been a very interesting* encounter, but I would truly like to have as little to do with them as possible. My request is we gloss over the travel to the next town unless you have something else in mind, sell the orc equipment after getting it from the hobgoblins, and proceed from there, unless someone needs to buy something at the town. I don't have any craft skills, if someone else does and wants to work on the orc equipment, speak up.

*"interesting" as in I have never gotten angry at an NPC before, or hated one, until now.[/sblock]

(OOC: It looks like a whole bunch of the characters want to not go with the hobgoblins to the town. If you choose that, I will gloss over it, but if not, then we're going to play out the travel to the town--it is days worth of travel and could thus have...another random encounter :D)
