Mongrel gives different powers than Halina would give, but they each are very real. Scun is still learning the abilities, though."

That's right, he must've used the god magic with his l'il stick to help you guys when you were all hurt with boo-boos, and that's why they went away and you got better..." she trails off in thought that slowly changes to sick horror and dread, ".......Wait...Why didn't he do that for Doggie? Why?"

"Well, like I said, Scun is sill learning. He can't cure everyone's boo-boos."

"But...he went...and Doggie was...and..." she begins to cry, "He didn't...he..." she can't finish the sentence.

"No, Scun is still learning. Scun could not help him."

"No, you're wrong" Laynie snaps, "Doggie didn't need any help. He was OK already. And all you others were fine afterwards. The Scun killed my Doggie--the only person who loved me for all this time, and he killed him!"

"See, Scun is our expert. Doggie's condition must have gotten worse and healing doggie boo-boos must be more difficult. Ask him."

*Laynie seems sceptical and turns to Scun, which is not an easy task as the half-orc has tried quite hard to avoid her.*

ooc: For a girl whose parents "Went to sleep and never woke up", this 4 year old is suddenly very aware of death, and killing. She is also expressing all sorts of mystical connections to "doggie". Is this little girl something other than what she appears?

Rillian will watch Laynie (Sense Motive, Int Check, etc) to see if she is what she seems. "A'jardin could you cast Detect Magic, there might be something here?"
