Somac hangs back on the hill for now. He watches Cade, Rillian, and Tandi (and whoever else is down there) carefully as they converse with the townswoman. He really perks up when it look like she is pointing at them up here on the hill.

Tandi frowns in thought, her eyes then meeting the Lena's. "Half-orc, but yes, I'm sure there is something we could arrange." She bows to the woman again and trods back up the hill to explain things to her party.

Tandi looks at Scun specifically. "Apparently they don't serve your kind here. Something about those orcs that raided here not long ago. I'd advise discretion, but we are all invited to sit with the mayor and partake of a feast he gives to adventurers as they pass through. She pauses for a moment. "Those hobgoblins concern me however. Apparently they have been pushing their way around town."

I would prefer not to go into the town while the hobgoblins are still there, and we have no buisness with the mayor. If the hobgoblins are hailed as heroes, they could very well have a trap prepared for when we enter the town. I would prefer to wait here and talk to them when they leave, retrieve the equipment, and only venture into the town when we know they are gone.

Tandi looks at Ajardin. "I agree on both accounts, except that though we have no pressing business with the mayor, I would like to know what lies in the road ahead of us. Who better to know the goings on in the area than the place's head man?" Tandi paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts.

"I also understand that we have little time, so I'd just as soon get this over with, hobgoblins or not, so we can be on our way. We have a long way to go towards our destination and any way to shorten that trip I feel would be best."

Cade nods in agreement "The las has a point. We can't delay too long, but perhaps the mayor knows how we can get a leg up on our journy."

"Let us go into the town and face these people with our backs straight and our heads held high. We have done no wrong, and have nothing to fear. In our current state, I think we could beat these hobgoblins even if they did have a trap set. Besides, we are good people on a quest to save a sick little girl. We shouldn't hide out here like criminals."

*Vrina does not understand the conversation, so she stays behind Somac and says nothing.*

"I think we should go into town while the hobgoblins are still here. We know they intended to represent themselves as the slayers of the orcs, and that they didnt tell us the orcs had kidnapped villagers. In fact, from the girl's description, it doesnt sound like the town hired the hobgoblins at all. So the town may need to be protected from these hobgoblins, and their lies and half-truths."

"Still, I think the villager woman has a point. They will see me as an orc, an enemy. I'll stay out here. If you need my aid, just yell my name and I'll come running."
