[Adventure]: Land Ho! FWBTHW (DM:H.M.Gimlord,Judge:Ozymandias79)

Sheng smiles, but his grin quickly dies as his flame attackwashes over the skeletons ineffectively. "May the Onis claim your defiled souls!" he spits, before walking a few steps down the staircase. He shouts back: "More undead incoming, I'll try tohold them as long as I can! Press the attack" Sheng grith teeth, preparing for the onslaught.

Actions: Miss with burning spray. Move to -A16, so that only one skeleton can attack me.

OOC: could the archer's still shoot at Riardon if I move him to 19D?
GM: The skeletons are shooting through arrowslit murderholes that overhang the roof. If Riardon moves inside the doorway, however, the structure of the building will block their line of sight and effect. So the answer is no. They won't be able to shoot at him.

"Fenwick does not want axe!" the big orc shouts. "Fenwick holding axe because dwarf who is rightful owner not understand self-preservation and is lying on ground out cold. Fenwick already have own axe, which now is going to be demonstrated!"
The skeleton, once more, howls:

"Brothers! Hold!"

Even though Fenwick stands determined to deliver another blow with his axe, the skeleton seems to go from a menacing stance to one of serene composure. The archer behind Fenwick, lowers its bow toward the floor, though it keeps the fletchings nocked in the string.

Lowering its voice and directing it toward Fenwick, the skeleton extends its hand, "If you do not wish to keep the sacred blade, you may return it to me, but if you, indeed, have the heir to Rioc Parvel among you, then this is a most joyous day. Place the axe in his hands so that we may rest with our fathers." The skeleton looks hopeful, but wary, "You see. Many years ago, our lord, Bardir Gimlord left us on this island entrusting us with two tasks. The first was to keep the beacon light going for seafaring brothers, and second was to keep Stang safe until Lord Bardir, or his rightful heir, should return." The skeleton hangs his head, "At the first task, we have failed. The one called 'Sylvantrix' came and destroyed the tower walls, and the beacon along with it," the skeleton nods to the archer in the corner and the unseen archers above, as well as the piles of bones lying about, "Each one of us was slain in the attack." It lifts its head, and as Fenwick looks at the skeleton, he swears that the skeleton is attempting to produce a devilish grin, "But the b!@# did not get Stang! We quickly discoverd that Lord Bardir's charge came with a boon...or a curse, if you will. None of us could die until we saw the axe in the hands of its rightful heir." The skeleton looks down, "Our bodies rotted around us, but our bones continued to move. Our stature increased to aid us in our calling."" He points to the floor above, "Sir Burharald hid Stang under the bed in the Caretaker's room. When Sylvantix blasted the corner in, Sir Burharald was slain, but his body covered the axe. We all played dead. In her search, the dragon broke open the chests and holds, but failed to look in the most obvious of places. To this day, that is where it has stayed. No one has since attempted to take it,...until now." The skeleton cranes its non-descript head toward Fenwick in a hopeful stance, "Are you saying that Lord Bardir Gimlord has finally returned?"

Before the orc can answer, the skeleton calls out once more,

"Brothers! Rise!"

The bones of those slain by Fenwick and his allies begin to reanimate. Each bone slides toward the other as a lode stone is attracted to its bearer's armor. The reanimated skeletons surround the party expectantly.

Three more archers round the corner in the corridor where Sheng stands atop the stairs, making five archers in all (six counting the one downstairs in the corner).

The mechanized dogs piece themselves together and join the undead guardians in their circle.

"You see," continues the first skeleton, "You could not have won. We will continue to fight so long as the axe is not in its owner's hands, so I will ask you once more. Has Lord Bardir returned?"[sblock=Perception DC 15]The skeletons, though not dwarvish in size, are dwarvish in proportion.[sblock=Roll Arcana DC 15]It appears as though they were dwarves at one time, but their undead bodies were magically altered to increase their size as a result of the ritual that reanimated them.[/sblock][/sblock][sblock=Stang's Stats]

"Yes!" Interjects Sheng, going down the stairs. "This who lies in the ground is the rightful heir of Lord Bardir, Hankel. Our mission was to escort him, and see him light up the beacon once again. It seems our objectives were the same, and we all stud up to honour our agreements. I'll see to Hankel's wellfare; know that your own arrows broght him to the bringer of death." Not loosing the chance to scowl the ancient protectors, Sheng moves towards the fallen dwarf, trying to bring him to consciousness. He sinks his fingers in the dwarf's flesh, unlocking several charkras and releasing the energy trapped in the wounds. The dwarf moans it's way to the world of living.

A heal 18 taking 10 should suffice.

"Come master dwarf. It is time to meet the first of many who wish to serve you," Gensai said, helping him up and supporting his weight as we walked.
