[Adventure] Lost Love (DM: Velmont - Judge: Renau1g)

Pis cries out, "Susan!" as he falls. The cry is likely drowned out by the thunder of clashing metal and stone. Instinctively he takes a step towards his injured friend.

[sblock=actions]Move to J18[/sblock]

He braces himself the moment he does, realizing the mistake he just made. After suffering the consequences of his movement, he calls out. "Susan, are you alright?"

[sblock=jumping]Assuming he gets out of the pit and what I said above is ok, here are my next athletic rolls:

climb out of pit to F18

jump (2nd try) to D20: 28

jump to B21: 20

jump to B23: 20 again

Ok - actually, before I jump further, I notice that assuming twilsemail is as much of a genius as I think he is, I believe Unit 16 can safely step onto C24 from B23. This should carry him to A24, and then assuming "ka" runes really are "down", that should carry him to A26 and then again to A28.

Do we like this plan or should I continue jumping?[/sblock]

Susan climb up without difficulty. He then jump from plate to plate without triggering any new wind. The jump seems more difficult than usual but Susan can still do it.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Good work up to now.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=acrobatics]Velmont, I don't think you ever responded to the Acrobatic Stunt question. The book says that a character can vault over a foe with a stunt. That should be a 2 square jump. Is that something I can do without a foe beside me?[/sblock]

Pis stumbles back towards the hallway before catching his bearing.

[sblock=actions]Move to I18[/sblock]

As Pis step back, he feels a stronger wind pushing him away from the entrance. After being carried over 15 feet, the wind die.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Pis is pushed to I21

I didn't answer because you are not aware of what will happen if you try it. One thing I can tell, it can be useful against some trap and not against other...[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=ooc]Thank you twilsemail for verifying that you are completely correct. :)

Unit 16 will move to C24.[/sblock]
Inspired by Pis and believing he knows now how the trap works, Unit 16 takes a single step.

Pis vaults through the air, heading in a similar direction to Susan. The leap is graceful and elegant and he sticks the landing. It is not quite as powerful as he'd hoped and as he looks down he feels the wind stirring. "Uh-oh..."

[sblock=actions]Move: Vault to I24. 1d20+11=17

That probably won't do it...[/sblock]

[sblock=Bob]No worries. Worst case scenario: Pis ends up in a darkened pit and eaten by grue. :)[/sblock]

Ryda casually fidjets with her braid while the boys play hopscotch.

[sblock=OOC]Just a post to say I'm still here, but can't really do much until everything is resolved with Unit 16/Pis[/sblock]

Susan steps on the plate next to him and wait for the wind to carry him. As expected, a wind carry him to next to the wall, then a strong wind push him toward the exit, but the wind die short of the distance he needed and a new wind push him away. Susan finally end safely on plate, but the exit is still hard to reach.

During that time Pis try to tumble south. He starts to tumble but an heavy landing and an hesitation on his next somersault trigger the wind that push him north. The wind die and another wind push him west. Pis end safely on a plate, far from his destination.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Susan move to C24

Susan is pushed to C27

Pis tumble to I24
