[Adventure] Lost Love (DM: Velmont - Judge: Renau1g)

Unit 16 moves forward to inspect the river.
[sblock=ooc]He'll move to A34 and check to see what the river looks like - especially if it's dirty or possibly something other than water.

My guess is we should pour a little of one of these into the other - maybe something from the bowl into the river or vice-versa. Maybe "wine" is just a metaphor or something?

I dunno: the "key at the bottom of the bowl" reminds me so much of Harry Potter (book 6) that I feel like we should try scooping some of the lobster water into the river first, but maybe it's the opposite.

Oh - also, it could mean blood instead of wine somehow? Except the water goes into the wine, so not sure how that would work...[/sblock]

Pis approaches the edge of the river and surveys the site. he looks up and down stream to see where the river comes from and where it goes. He looks the bridge up and down. Afterwards he draws another stone from his beltpouch and drops it into the water, careful not to splash himself or Susan.

[sblock=Actions]Move: walk to C34
Minor: Perception - 1d20+7+2=11
Minor: Draw stone w/ free hand
Free: Drop stone in adjacent square C35[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I'm not sure at all in this one. Let the ladies have at it. We got to play in the last room.

Also, if the pseudo bard is going to roll low... I could at least roll a 4 so I can make Elan jokes...[/sblock]

Unit 16 and Pis both come closer to the river. The river is flowing through an artifical bank. It looks like a 10 feet deep pit with smooth walls. The flow seems strong enough. After looking at it, they determine the water is flowing from west to east.

Talkrai finally remember where she had seen such creature. The lobster creature is an underground creature that eat on other underground creature, but also on mineral. It use his acidic spit to dissolves the rock before eating it. It is how the creature can form such an hard shell. She then look at the puzzle keyring, but she cannot figure it for the moment.

Ryda take out an arrow and put it slowly in the water of the bowl. The arrowhead isn't yet wholly in the liquid that corrosive mark appears on it. Ryda just lost an arrow, seeing the sharp edge being eaten by the acid of the liquid.

[sblock=OOC]Is there anything remarkable about the bridge? Anything happen when Pis drops the stone in the water?

Note: if being careful enough to not splash himself involves going into Defensive stance, I'll wait 'til next "turn" to drop the stone.[/sblock]

Ryda watches the tip of her arrow corrode away, “Well, that doesn’t seem healthy now does it.” Taking a small step back, she examines the statue itself to see if there are any movable parts, buttons, levers, removable objects, or if the statue itself can be moved. “Hey, was that wine in the water, or water in the wine? And how did that stone of your’s fair, as good as my arrowhead?” she asks the two over near the river.

[sblock=ooc]Water into wine... If Pis's rock is ok, I'm guessing take some river water and put it in the acid?

I wonder how those keys are surviving in all that acid...[/sblock]

The rock have been taken by the current of the river, but Pis didn't spot any reaction between the water and the rock.

The bridge seems solid and in good condition.

"It was, ah..." he pauses to check the book again, "Water in the wine. And the stone looked fine as I watched it go. Strong current though. Did you, perhaps, find something on the statue?"

Talkrai shook her head sadly as she watched Ryda's arrow dissolve. "So much for that idea."

[sblock=ooc]That's what I'm thinking, about the river water and the bowl. As for the keys...no idea. Maybe they used to be a lot bigger, or maybe they (and the whole statue for that matter) are just magically enchanted to resist acid.[/sblock]

As Talkrai focus on the bowl, she takes a moment to identify a feeling she got. As she turns around, her instinct was true. A dragonborn was pointing his arrow toward Pis. Before she could warn anyone, the arrow fly to Pis and stuck him in the leg. The rogue feels the pains and recognize the feeling of some poison spreading in his bloodstream.

Quickly a kobold springs from behind the dragonborn, immediately imitated by a goblin. The first charge Unit 16, but his short blade cannot find his way through the warforged plating.

The goblin jump on Pis who is still surprise and unable to defend himself. The goblin find a weak spot and stab an aggravating wound to the Rogue.

A Genasi then get out of the stairs, a large axe in his hand and fire burning in his eyes. Susan also see a warforged and an hobgoblin that are coming through the stairs.

[SBLOCK=OOC]It's now Talkrai turn. She only got a Limited Action (i.e: One Standard or Move or Minor)

After that, it is to Pis and Ryda, who roll great on Initiative roll.

After that, the enemy act again.
